I am not impressed with the quality of this bike. It is designed so that it more or less snaps together, and they did provide all of the tools that you need. It looked decent once it was first constructed, however, after just an hour or so of kids playing with the trike, the snap together joints are wobbly. The directions contain spelling errors and are horrible to follow. They left the fender out of the directions, so when we got to the end and realized we had an extra piece, we had to figure out how to disassemble to that step, then rebuilt the bike. There is also very little help from the directions, they just basically show you the two pieces that join--and leave it up to you to figure out how to do it. In most cases, things have to be aligned just right for it to snap together. Also, when installing the bell, you have to back out the bolt sufficiently far that it will fit onto the handle bar--but it is connected with a nut, and ours came off inside the bell. In order to install it, we had to disassemble the bell. I do not feel this is a good value for the price.

This tricycle is super cute. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble. It was easy, but the instructions don’t tell you everything so you want to make sure you pay attention to the drawings to see where a couple pieces go. The biggest one that is missed is to make sure you use the inner spacer with the bell ringer in order to tighten it onto the handle bar.Build quality is good and on par for a toddler bike at this price. It’s light, but sturdy and well finished. It also folds up for storage to make throwing in the back of your car and taking to a park easier. My son just turned 3 and does really well with the push bikes and is learning to use a balance bike as well. I wanted to get something he can learn to pedal with too and this tricycle is perfect. He loves the bell and the little trunk to put toys in. My son is on the smaller side for his age and with the seat set in the most forward position he can touch the pedals just enough to actually pedal and move forward. The description says the starting age for this bike is 18 months. For a smaller child, this bike would be too big to reach the pedals, so unless you have a massive toddler, 18 months, even 24 months is a stretch.
