Toilet bowl to floor bolts and caps
Are toilets supposed to be bolted to the floor?
Toilets can rock back and forth, and when you're putting all of your weight on a fixture you're supposed to sit on, it can cause you to fall over if it's not secured like any type of furniture.
What bolts a toilet to the floor?
Toilet Floor Bolts: Secures the toilet bowl to floor flange. T-bolts and nuts are made of solid metal. The caps hold the screws to avoid injured .
Installation instructions
1. Closet bolts slide into the slotted track on top of the closet flange.
2. Align holes in bowl with closet bolts and push nylon speed nut down to flange to hold bolt in place. Make sure wax ring is installed before installing bowl. Carefully lower bowl into place.
3. Assemble metal washer and nut to closet bolt and tighten.
4. Fasten the hat on the white gasket. There are grooves on the inside of the white hat and snap it onto the white gasket.

Ordered these to replace an outdated set and they fit well enough but the covers for the bolts do not stay on well. They get knocked off easily. Asides from that annoyance, they are easy to install and does the job.

The bolts kept slipping and would not tighten (on a brand new flange), the plastic caps did not snap on, and the metal washers bents as I tightened the nut down.

These bolts and caps were very easy to install (after removing the old bolts). They fit perfectly and the caps are nice and secure.

These are exactly as they were meant to be. As shown in the photos, they are the kind with the oval head, so it can slip into most flange slots and then rotate to provide grip. They seem to have all of the correct measurements re: mm thickness, length, and threads. No complaints!
