These are useful for a multitude of purposes. I personally used them in two applications: to facilitate deploying a shade sail over an outdoor patio and in the garage to allow suspending a cartop carrier from the ceiling.in the first application the pulley makes it possible to get the material pulled taut. It looks and functions far better when stretched properly. In the second application I am able to loop rope around the front and back of the carrier and easily raise it up to the ceiling and secure it.Having used them to solve both those issues, I still have an ample supply for further applications.
