What is ABS?
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a plastic used for its versatility in making keyboards, luggage cases, and other types of impact-resistant products. It is reasonably strong at high and low temperatures. It is strong and rigid even when it is used heavily. For these reasons, it is commonly used for all types of helmets across a wide range of sports and is a go-to for Tontron for maximum safety and usability.
What is EPS?
Expanded Polystyrene is foam that is used for helmets car bumpers, energy management and packaging because of its high durability and quality for protection from impact and impact softening capabilities.

As everyone knows, a quality bicycle helmet from a local brick and mortar store can easily reach the mid hundreds and more. I’ve tried on some of the less expensive ones and they just done feel secure nor safe.Shopping through Amazon, I came across this helmet from Tontron Sports. I ordered the helmet on 3/24/17 and received it on 3/27/27. What service!To the helmet, it is a half circle helmet. It has circumference head adjuster which is super easy to adjust. The chin straps are well designed where it doesn’t rub against ones ears. Nice. The lining is around an inch to inch and half thick; which should provide good impact protection. The shell is a nice and hard. I especially like the emergency contact label affixed to the inside lining. I’ll be eager to try the helmet headlamp buckles when I go night riding.This lightweight helmet fits my 23†head well. The design should provide good UV protection. I bought a white helmet which should keep me cool during the hot summer days. And its design provides good air flow which will keep my head cool during hot summer days.I hope I never get to try the effectiveness of this helmet but I believe it will protect my head from severe impact injury. As I said, this helmet, pretty sweet deal for the price.

Use them for caving all the time. Cant be beat for the price. The only flaw is the dial adjustment on the back will fail. Mud and grit will take their toll and they will be stuck at your last adjustment. So set it and forget it! Needless to say these get slammed with rocks, dragged across stone and through mud and water. So far none of the light clips have broken off, or any cracks in the shell. I also like that it doesn't have holes like some others do for venting.

Offers good protection for the top of your head; stays put on your head and easily adjustable. My headlamp headband fit into the tabs on the sides of this, and was held in place, without a problem. I'd recommend this helmet for caving/climbing.

3/5 starsGood vs Bad:Bad: The pads are held on with little glue dots. First time I wore it, pads started to fall off. Could be reapplied with a flexable epoxy. And the item Pic seems to show reflective properties, but mine doesn't.Good: It's light, but feels sturdy. The fit is slightly small, but not tight.

This helmet fits well on most users. It has a rotating mechanism in the back to tighten the head strap. It meets the appropriate UIAA standards for climbing helmet performance. It has a manufacturer's recommended life of 5 years, which is half of what Petzl allows for its helmets.

I used this for a spelunk camping trip. I stayed in the cave all weekend. This is helmet was adjustable (I have a small head and it fit great after adjustment). I didn’t have to adjust the headlamp all weekend (which was important since it was my main source of light while spelunking). Great helmet, would recommend for spelunking.

This helmet was great. It was my first time caving so I didn't realize how important a helmet would be. I bumped my head twice and I was glad I had it. It was easily adjustable so it stayed in place the whole trip.

My wife and I are incredibly happy with our helmets. We bought them for a caving trip in Ontario. It was so funny to see her bang her head several times on the roof of the cave and be grateful for the helmet at the same time. Great product in perfect alignment with the price. Best value! Adjustment knob for tightening the helmet at the back is very flimsy and difficult to operate.
