Thank God I did not have to use it and never want to but seeing the advertising is convincing enough to say, whoever thought of this is a genius. Certainly, is a peace of mind knowing that I have them, much easier to use then a fire extinguisher, and can put them to easily accessible places. Especially important to have them for families with children, then teach them how to use it. Please!

I am happy with the weight and ease of use. I practiced deploying it and found that this was useful. It is surprisingly easy to go from blanket in the bag to fully spread out and ready to place over the fire like you are shaking out a sheet. Just hang the bag using the grommet. Then to deploy grab the two tabs which project out from the bottom of the bag and pull down and apart. The Velcro flap lets go and the blanket unfolds. I haven't had to actually put out a fire but the fiberglass blanket seems completely adequate to do the job. The only thing which could be a challenge is getting the blanket properly folded back up and into the bag. I bought four, so I carefully unfolded a second one to see that you need to fold it lengthwise twice then at 90° to the length in thirds. The heavy fiberglass does not retain fold lines well, so how to refold is not obvious. Having this hanging in a closet just feet from my stove gives me confidence that should we have a kitchen fire we have a good shot at putting it out while it is still small. FYI since the very red bag leaves a stain on the fire blanket, it might leave one on paint. Hanging a sheet of paper behind the bag from the same hook/nail might be a good idea. I bought four because I plan to give some to relatives. I'm glad I bought the extras.

Had a kitchen fire from a using liquor in a dish that boiled over and lit up. I was so glad to have it. I wish had two but it contained the fire enough to get it under control with water for the last little bit.

How do you rate something when the only time you use it is in an emergency and a fire emergency at that. Being from the public service industry I did a lot of research from multiple sources. I think I found the best deal and best product. It is my hope that I will never have to use them.

Used as Xmas presents for my family of 5. One daughter had an electric stove fire which she put out quickly. The package says for one use only. Maybe but I am getting her a replacement. Turned out to be a timely present.

This is so easy to use even the older folks and young kids who try to cook :)When fire catches on burnt food, this fire blanket takes away the panic and anxiety trying to figure out what pins to pull out to get the fire extinguisher working! Just pull it out and drape it over the fire.No mess and damage.Really good to have especially those young aspiring teenager cooks who constantly cook and uh use their cellphones at the same time.5/5 stars!

I bought these for Father's Day after seeing them advertised elsewhere. What a great idea to have a fire blanket near the kitchen/fireplace or anywhere you may need one. I also like that if we should ever need it it won't make a huge mess like fire extinguishers do. You simply toss the enclosed blanket onto the fire and it extinguishes is. The bags are highly visible but small enough to put anywhere and they have pulls to open them quickly. Great gift and something that should be in everyone's home/car/cottage/camper. Makes a great gift for anyone too! Hopefully we'll never need them, but if we do, it's nice to know we can put out any small fire quickly.

These 2 fire blankets are heavier than expected and also bigger than I thought they would be. One is now at home in the kitchen, the other one in the car, in the pocket behind the passenger seat. It is a good feeling to know they are available for an emergency. Seems to be a better solution for putting out a small fire than an extinguisher, which messes up a whole area. Highly recommended, hope that I won't need it, but in case I do, I am prepared.

This is the Cadillac of chairs. So many have asked me about mine but the price is steep. I love being able to carry it as a backpack as o usually have so much to carry and other chairs that have a side table are very awkward to carry. All the extra pockets and the cooler are other bonuses as well. The only thing that I would change is to have an Velcro wrap around strap instead of th loop to hold a beach umbrella as not all poles will slide through the loop.
