This tool is very job specific. It uses drill bits that are screwed into the tool and will need to be purchased from the manufacturer. A very well made tool for close quarters.

I bought this to fill a specific (and urgent) need. I was a little skeptical, I have had one of these in my tool box for decades (however they were always signed for), and they were always metal. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this tool functioned and held up to pretty harsh use (I had to put a 1/4 bit in an acorn and drill a knock detector base for an easy out) It came through like a champ.} Its a great deal at the price.

The thread pitch is off, I had to use a tap to correct it and even then I couldn’t get the tap deep enough to correct it fully. Maybe I got a quality slip I don’t know but definitely a problem with the one I got.

Some of the very poor gear meshing I have ever seen. Will not maintain contact. Not gonna give it more than 1 star. My opinion.

The red angled part that holds the gears is plastic - the gears inside will start to slip at the first hint of slop or wear. This is a low end unit that might get the job done in very light duty situations but a metal version is necessary for anything tougher.
