I own the Knipex version of this item and I can honestly say that it is definitely comparable to it. Quality tool, well built and adjusts easily just like the Knipex. Comes with a nice nylon case that has room for another same size pliers and another slot that’s half the size. Time will tell if it holds up but I see nothing that indicates it won’t. The price is unbeatable…I like the blue grips too. Very happy with the purchase.

This is an AMAZING adjustable wrench. I was having a lot of difficulty getting a showerhead screwed off with a traditional adjustable wrench, this beautiful baddie let me unscrew that showerhead in under 10 seconds. 10/10 would recommend.

This set of pliers seem to be well made with a captured slip-joint design. By captured, I mean you have to push a button to change the jaw spacing unlike most slip joint pliers that I've used. Sometimes the one-hand adjustment is useful but often it can be a bit frustrating. These pliers lock into the jaw spacing that you set and stay there, and there are smaller jaw positions than a normal pair of these pliers. These are only about 7" so they are handy for a lot of around the house jobs but aren't big enough for a lot of projects where you need the extra jaw spacing or extra leverage. I personally ordered these for the small jobs anyway so they are perfect for what I need. These came in a small roll pouch that has a couple of extra places for some other tools in case you need that. Build quality looks to be good and the rubber-coated handles are comfortable.

This pliers wrench works great. In most ways, the pliers from Toolant are nearly identical to the Knipex ones. They are both great for getting a good hold on nuts (without bothering to find the precise size) and for keeping the jaws parallel. They both let you almost let go of the bottom handle once there's sufficient pressure on the top handle. Likewise, they both have excellent handles with good texture that provides a lot of grip, even with oily hands. And, with a little practice, they can both be used sort of like a ratchet. But, the Toolant pliers don't move around as loosely as the Knipex ones, and this is not entirely a bad thing. The Knipex always have roughly 0.5mm of play, and so can slide very easily, whereas the Toolant have zero play. This makes the Toolant much more precise, and it makes the handle move with some tension at all times. Even when unloaded, closing the handle on the Toolant feels like an "over center" device, like vice grips, where tension rises as the handles close, and when they're near fully closed the tension peaks before falling off slightly. This eliminates virtually all the backlash. It also makes it so that the pliers don't just fall open when unloaded. I'm of 2 minds on this feature. It's more precise and the handles stay where you put them, but it makes using a ratchet motion slightly more awkward. There are 2 other subtle differences, too. On the Toolant, when the jaws are set near the maximum opening, they come out of parallel slightly. At the maximum notch, this results in about a 1mm difference between the tip of the jaw and the back of the milled face. On the otehr hand, there's a subtle difference has turned out to be quite handy for me: the Toolant pliers have the sizes printed on the right (correct?) side. With the Toolant pliers, the SAE/archaic markings seem to be in the primary position, where they are easily viewed while the tool is in your right hand.

This Toolant plier wrench has the advantages of a slip-joint pliers and those of a crescent wrench, but without the disadvantages of either. Depress the spring-loaded button, slide the pivoting handle down to the desired gap, release the button, and it's ready to go. The jaws are exactly parallel and the settings precise, according to my gauges. The stationary handle has markings from 1/2" all the way up to 2" on one side, easily readable through the window, metric readings from 12 to 52 mm on the other side. It adjusts to well below those advisory markings, down to 1/16", so could well find some use in bending and straightening sheet metal edges too. It's remarkably quick to set and adjust, and the jaws are smooth like those of an open-end wrench. It's far more stable than a crescent wrench, and has far more intermediate fine settings ( 1/16" throughout, I think) than a slip-joint pliers. The tool is solid steel, the grip comfortable and easy to clean, and it's really easy to release and reset for partial turns in tight spaces without removing the tool from the bolt head.I particular like its wide capacity: the plier wrench will grip all the way up to 2" without resorting to absurdly long and heavy adjustable wrenches, really useful for things like hose bibs and for loosening chucks on my lathe, and without the risk of scratched surfaces from a slip-joint pliers. A good solid tool that will get lots of daily use, and at a very competitive price.
