Worked great! This was to replace the original manufacture’s clip that flew away to Neverland. The installation pad/tool is a great addition to the kit. Now, if I can only keep track of where I store the other two for the next time that little clip pops off.

Cannot imagine how you could install this without the included installation tool which other sellers do not provide. I put up with a nonworking seal ring for over a year and then came across this. Easy fix over replacing the entire drill.

Bit overpriced for what you get but ring fits well and sockets stay in place. The installation tool works very well. Was a slight delay in shipping however there were 2 other items in the shipment and not sure if it was a single item that caused delay. Minor delay so no big deal. Update this review after some serious use thats coming up over next few months.

In the past, I have found that replacing the ring on my air tools never seemed to work properly. The ring never seems to seat right and usually comes off after a couple of uses.. This kit with the installation tool worked exactly as described and is of the same quality as the original highly recommend.

If I could give 10 stars I would, so annoyed with sockets falling off and trying other rings that don’t fit. Milwaukee has an oddball size retaining ring, this one fits great. The install tool alone is worth the price!

It seems like it's a great product but I have one of the original M12 3/8" impacts and the ring will not stay on. I can get it on and it seems secure but it every time I pull a socket off the ring comes off. I was super excited to find a replacement for the original "Hog Ring" but it doesn't work so I'm back to using a piece of electrical tape and a short extension all the time to have a 3/8" drive with a detent pin otherwise the sockets just fall off.

Saving Grace when it came to my 3/8" Stubby Impact from Milwaukee - I lost the ring while on a job and my sockets naturally flew right off.The little pad to install them with is really handy, I'm glad it comes with that plus the spare rings in case it happens again.These are not perfect fits, and I have had these replacements come off again - mind you, it took a lot of effort.I couldn't find these replacement rings from Milwaukee, and the ones available from local dealers around me did not fit correctly, so these are an easy alternative and work well.Be sure to get the right size - ones I got from my local dealer were too tight - your sockets need that ring to be loose to "lock" in to place. If it's tight, they won't even fit on to your impact.

Definitely better purchase than the ones from local store. Works like an oem replacement part for my milwaukee 3/8 gun. Even with the constant torquing of bolts in the automotive field it doesn't deteriorate right away.
