These are some nice big rawhide bones- we recently took in a rescue, a shepherd mix large dog. He was left alone for 3 weeks in a house after his owner had an emergency. The look on his face when I opened up and gave him one of these bones was priceless..He became a little food insecure and was possessive of this simple bone in a way that broke my heart.... so when I pulled out the other two and put one on his bed and one outside on the porch for him- he was elated... He would go to each one and chew it for a minute then run to the next one and so forth. It was awesome to see how excited he was that he had "his own" bones and that no one was going to take them from him. I will admit my small senior dog tried to get one of the bones, but they are the same size she is and had they been smaller- she would have tried to steal away with one... but I'm just going to see if they have smaller ones in this brand because he really loves them and I think we should stick with something we can trust.

We recently adopted a 65lb. German Shepherd/Coonhound mix. I know everyone says their dog is a "power chewer," but ours really is. He will go to town on toys and treats, and very few products have held up to his gnawing. I had heard/read so many negative things about rawhide, rawhide alternatives, and hard bones/toys in general, that I initially shied away from anything in this category. A family member recommended I try cheek rolls, and turned out to be a hit with our dog. They keep him occupied after dinner and last for a couple days. However, all of the brands we have tried stink terribly and leave a gunky mess on his bed or blanket. Thus, when I saw these Top Dog Chews, I was eager to try them and see if they would be a better alternative. While they are a quality product, they didn't work for us.In terms of positive attributes, these bones are definitely big and well suited to larger breeds. There was little to no odor upon opening the packaging or once my dog began chewing on it. For a hard treat, they were relatively smooth and didn't splinter into sharp pieces. Our dog took to it right away, and it didn't cause any digestive issues.Unfortunately, this chew lasted somewhere between 90 minutes-2 hours. It should be noted that he wasn't constantly chewing on it either. We gave it to him late in the afternoon in an effort to keep him occupied while company was over. He would work on it for about 20 minutes at a time. After (5) of those sessions, it was gone! At $25.95 for a pack of 3, this doesn't work out to a good value for our family. Additionally, these bones made our dog EXTREMELY thirsty, much more so than his normal cheek rolls. He was constantly going to his water bowl between his chewing times and ended up having to go out to the bathroom in the middle of the night, which never happens.

Our rescue pup is a super aggressive chewer--I have yet to buy a toy or bone that he cannot demolish in a matter of minutes. Rawhide seems to be the only thing that holds up to his aggressive chewing.A bone like this could easily disappear in a short time with him. But on days when we cannot get him out for a long walk or when he has been left alone longer than usual (someone is usually home with him but there are days when errand running keeps us away longer than he would like), this is a great way to calm and relax him when we finally get home. We don't let him chew it up completely; we only let him have it for a little while, and then we put it away until the next time.So far it's held up beautifully.

My 105+ lb rottweiler loves these! First, she'll carry it with her from room to room and guard it. And then eventually, she'll start working on it. This is where I add the "+" ! She has a lot of jaw power and it's difficult to find chews that will hold up. These have exceeded my expectations and last quite a while! And I really love that these are all-natural USA made! It gives me peace of mind knowing that she is enjoying a healthy stress relieving treat!

These are great chews for our large dog. These chews have lasted us a while because we're using them for crate training with a pup who has some crate anxiety. They help alleviate the anxiety and have left our pup asking for chew by getting into the crate on her volition. We are taking it slow, but when she's done in the crate chew goes back on the shelf.

I usually give my aggressive chewer (over 11 months now so don’t think this is “puppy†lol) Himalayan Yak sticks that i can trust and though prices are great for keeping her chompers occupied!!These are not bad… I’ve read so many things about rawhide that are not good and these are supposed to be “better†for absorption but never gave her any rawhide before and she has no obvious issues with digesting this!One big “bone†lasted her about 2 days but only b/c I managed to take it away from her about midway thru and we ended up throwing out a final piece that was about 2.5 in squared and approx 2 layers that she had left by the end as she was aggressively trying to chew it up in her mouth like that! 🤣(Does same with Yak sticks but get to nuke that and use it still but I digress- just mentioning you do have to most likely toss a small portion by the end of each “boneâ€ðŸ˜˜Not bad- she seemed very happy!!Btw- love, love the company’s jumbo yak sticks- and know them from that!
