I was getting frustrated trying to buy a water bottle holder on line. The prices are all over the place. There are many materials of construction; metal (steel,aluminum etc.), carbon fiber, a variety of plastics and some I’ve probably forgotten. Measurements are inconsistent and reviews claim that bottles that were supposed to fit don’t. I finally settled on a mid-price Topeak as a brand name I am familiar with and have had success with other products.This Topeak water bottle cage is a blend of plastic and metal with non-slip rubber sleeves that grip the water bottle. A nice feature is that the size is adjustable. If you press the metal button on the bottom of the cage you can slide the metal arms in and out to fit your water bottle. There is a knurled metal job on the threaded rod that also allows you to adjust in small increments to get the perfect fit.The cage is easy to install and fit my frame perfectly. The acid test was fitting a water bottle I use for hiking that is admittedly slightly larger than the specs claim to accommodate. The pictures show a 28 oz water bottle that is 3 inches in diameter and 10.5 inches tall. It fit snuggly in the cage with no rattling or movement. I am confident that nothing short of a catastrophic fall would release it from the grip of the cage. That said, it would be difficult to remove while riding like a smaller plastic bottle might.So far I am impressed with the Topeak water bottle cage. It suits my needs at a price that is reasonable. The material look like they should stand up to some abuse and keep my water handy on rides. This is a good value for the price.

This cage is different than on my other bike which is just solid plastic with no adjustment. The other ones are easier to slip the water bottle into but less secure. This cage is much more secure as they come with rubber bumpers on the corner edges of the metallic adjustable part. It creates some friction when putting in and taking out the water bottle but once in, it's very secure. It also has a knob you can turn to loosen or tighten the grip, which is nice. Very adjustable to a variety of water bottle sizes. Topek is a good bicycle accessory brand and this is no exception here. They're a very good choice for a water bottle cage mainly for the metal components and the adjustability to hold your water bottles securely.

Only 3☆ didn't supply mounting hardware (bolts) so useless until we find the right size bolts to mount on bike.

This works great on my Specialized Vase 3.0 that has some tricky dimensions for a bottle cage. This adjustable cage holds my 18oz Yeti Rambler water bottle. Solid offering!

I liked the ability to adjust the size. I am planning on using with a 22 oz insulated bottle which just fit with it fully expanded.Looks to be of good quality which I hope lasts. It's has a very good grip on this taller bottle. I have not used in teal world ride. Just test fitted at this point. Bought one for each bike.

Looks good, feels good, the mechanism is not cheap.The core of the sliding is a milled stainless screw. For almost all of your use of this product, you will use the quick and easy slide function:depress a metal button that utilizes the milled banks of the screw to slide the cage back and forth.A very nice touch is you can make small, "analog" adjustments of the cage by rotating the screw head seen as the silver circle between the two cage arms protruding from the base of the bottle holder.This will screw or unscrew the milled bolt found in the core of the slider.I doubt I will use this often, if at all, but I like that it's there.Why 4 stars instead of 5? If you grab hold of the metal cage-sliding portion, you can twist it about. It's not stiff, but it will stay in the position you slide it to. No worries about a lack of functionality, it just gives it a cheap feeling, albeit the plastic and metal is of good quality.Made in Taiwan (which is good and shows).You get what you pay for, for this price range, the PROS make up for this con.Not sure how it will hold up to lots of use, we shall see.

This is a great drink bottle holder. With the ability to, at the push of a button, adjust it to take different sized bottles and its robust construction all contribute to making this a great product.

Held a lot of promises with a fairly flexible design. Unfortunately arrived deformed and although the seller blamed the packaging, the box did arrive in rather intact shape. Shipping for return would have cost 50% of purchase price so I have to dispose of this instead.
