I was trying to decide between wooden hangers and velvet hangers. I went to my local Container Store and purchased some of both, fully intending to stick with one or the other. I liked that the velvet hangers were slim, but didn't like that they were too slip-proof for my items that didn't need it. Also they aren't as sturdy as wood. I really wanted the wood hangers to work, but the only option at the store were 1/2-3/4" width. In the end, this slim and durable wood hanger was the best compromise. They're thin enough to allow more hangers in my small closet while still being sturdy. My concern about slippage for my blouses was resolved by purchasing adhesive slip pads to attach to the hangers. These are working great!

I like that it's super slim. Quality/weight is decent. Not top quality, but good. Unfortunately, one entire box arrived with the metal hooks completely rusted out.

These hangers are “medium duty plus†and have a nice finished appearance. If you want a higher end look in your closet, especially if it’s custom, these hangers show well and are made well.
