I wanted a shoe to trail run in, with a wide toe box (I have wide feet). This shoe works! I like everything about it EXCEPT it is not well cushioned. For that reason, I removed the insert that came with them and put my own in, and now they're great! They are stiffer than the fresh foam New Balance I used previously but that's not a bad thing when running on loose gravel/rocks. One of the best if you need room for your toes!

I have been wearing the Altra Lone Peaks for years. For some reason the Lone peaks 7 and 8 style changes were awful. I was reluctant to switch to a new brand. These Topo’s are amazing and I wish that I would have switched over sooner. So comfortable right out of the box. I didn’t have to break them in and hit the trail with no issues. Highly recommend these shoes.

I have had tons of shoes in the past and I always have to wear in the house for several days before I decide if I want to keep them. These shoes did not need any break in time, very comfortable, lots of grip on the soles to hike trails, beautiful color and I was able to wear outside the day I got them. Love these shoes.

Shoe laces were too short. I wear Topo shoes all the time for walking but lace lengths widely vary from style to style.

I love wearing these shoes. I think I walk better in them. I walk about 5 miles a day (age 70). In fact I ordered another pair when they were on sale. However, they are difficult to get on. A loop on the back of the heal would help. Part of the problem is I put elastic laces in them thinking it would be easier on my back. I won't do that with my new pair.

Love all of Topos shoes. I have several pairs for daily activities and lengthy hikes. The wide toe box allows my toes to find a natural position and The arch takes pressure off of my arthritic big toes. As a result, 4 mile hikes over rough terrain are a breeze. Toss them in the washing machine and they look nearly new!

These trainers looked lovely, great colour and the left one was okay but maybe I could have had a half size larger...(ordered my usual size). The real problem was in the manufacturing of the right shoe. The inner part of the tongue had been stitched badly resulting in a ridge which was impossible to get rid of, and which pressed painfully on the top of my foot. These are expensive trainers and I would expect the product to be properly checked before sale.Sadly they have been returned.
