This blanket has all the features you will want and need to provide your horse with. Features: 420 Denier ripstop nylon 70 Denier waterproof lining Shoulder gussets and adjustable leg strap Double buckle closure front, crossed surcingle belly and tail flap Specifications: Measuring Instructions: Stand your horse as square as possible, measure from the center of chest around side of the body to the point of the horse's rump just before the tail. If you horse ends up measuring between sizes always round up to the next size to ensure full coverage. Washing Instructions: Machine wash with cold water, gentle cycle with mild detergent. Air Dry or Machine Dry/No Heat Horses Turned Outside without Shelter: Turnout Sheet and Blanket materials are waterproof and designed to keep your horse dry, however if your horse is turned out in a field without a run in shed or shelter during prolonged rain or heavy downpours your horse may still get wet especially in the neck and tail areas. When using a blanket or sheet it is critical to monitor the fluctuating climate and temperatures even with a blanket that is waterproof and breathable. The wicking properties of a breathable blanket are designed to wick away normal body heat, when a blanket is too heavy the heat and moisture cannot be wicked away fast enough causing your horse to sweat. The temperature and the length of your horse's coat will determine what weight of blanket you should use. For this reason, most people who choose to blanket horses have several articles of horse clothing that offer varying levels of warmth.

I chose this one because it offered the fasted delivery. I have a mini with a pretty good coat but we were expecting temperatures to drop into the negatives for 3-4 days with snow fall and she just doesn't use her shelter much so I wanted to give her something waterproof to keep the snow off more than anything. It arrived a day early and I was able to get it on her with daylight to spare. It pretty much fit perfectly without needing any adjustments, she's a B size mini if that helps anyone decide on fit.

I ordered 2 for my ponies. One was waterproof out of the bag and the other soaked through immediately. Thankfully I tested them before I needed to use them nd had time to waterproof them both. Other than that they're great blankets!

This blanket isnt waterproof at all. My horse was out in the rain for only a few minutes and when she came into the barn she was soaking wet underneath the blanket. Very disappointed with this product. It’s not durable at all. The belly straps come undone and do not stay. Because it is not waterproof my poor mini is shaking because she’s cold and wet.

Measure measure measure! These little blankets are perfect for your over fluffy mini! Ignore my muddy little tabino. Texas weather is NUTS, and he grows a coat like a wooley mammoth. So I worry about him overheating in a blanket. But I don’t want him soaked from sleet and rain and it dropping into the 20’s and teens. This sheet is fantastic, and very durable so far. The bright blue makes him super easy to spot too.But seriously. Measure your pony/mini/foal first to make sure you’ve got the correct size. Trigger is in a size 44†and is a mini Shetland that stands right at 32†tall and his very barrel shaped. He’s short and wide and this fits awesome.

Fits true to size but is not at all waterproof. Not even water resistant so the horses get wet and cold. Not a good rain sheet. Hopefully waterproofing spray solves it.

I have to honestly say.......at first I wasn't too impressed, it was just 'ok' in quality. Today, I'm giving ita 5 star rating and this is why! I live in Northern Ca and we've had a lot of cold cold rainy weather lately(snowed yesterday) and I had purchased this little waterproof sheet for the days it got up past 42* or so.Today was such a day (yay!) and I needed to pull her heavyweight blanket off and put this one on.Apparently, the last time I removed it from her I had just flung it over one of the fences causing it tosemi fold up. I couldn't believe it, it was like a balloon and had held all that water with no apparentleakage! I guess my point is....if you want a sheet that will keep them warm and DRY...THIS IS IT!!!

Fits my mini perfectly. Would not be good for rough turnout, but all my mini's seem to get along and I don't worry about rips from biting. Was very waterproof during a recent rain. Hardware is good quality. Just wish they sold this in 1200D as well.

The balnket fit my A sized mini very well but on the first day of wearing it in the rain the water had leaked through. Had to get waterproofing blanket spray for it. The fit was fine and seemed good quality.

Bought 3 different sizes for my ponies. All were not waterproof on the first day. I've used Tough 1 blankets for many years (not bought on Amazon) and never had an issue with them not being waterproof. Returned and refund issued, but would not order here again.
