I ordered this foal blanket in a small for my 10 day old filly because it was overnight shipping and where I live we had an uncharacteristic cold front come in.While the fit was perfect the strap on the chest (Velcro) snapped off at the seam making it unusable after the first night. Leaving me with below freezing temperatures and no blanket for my foal. I’m so disappointed. I’ll be returning it ASAP.

Used on my 12 week old colt two nights in a row. On the third night, the velcro strap in the front completely broke off. There is no velcro on the inside of the front fold. The leg straps were way too short and too tight. This should be advertised as a stable blanket; Clearly not tough enough for turnout.

Note: my blanket is blue (not hunter green) I love this brand and own the adult horse versions. They are high quality and last years! I bought the foal blanket and love it but a few things manufacturers could do to make it better: the front flap needs to either clip like the adult version or have a secure tab inside too as the Velcro outside is great but the inside flap doesn’t stay put after a lot of foal movement can start to droop. Also the clip for the underbelly could be easier to hook. When you have a squirmy foal you have to move fast and you need super simple hooks. That’s the only reason for 4 stars; otherwise excellent product. I bought size small and is shown on my 24 hour old foal (smidge big but fit great within a week)

I love everything about this blanket. The weight is perfect for my colt! However, if you look at the images, you can see, I’m missing the Velcro strap that attaches the front and closes the blanket! I hope it’s just accidental mistake and that the company will reimburse me and send me a proper one!

The blanket is decent, but it’s not long enough. Doesn’t cover the butt of a yearling quarter horse

The Velcro ripped that kept the blanket around the horses neck Maybe consider using clips instead of Velcro
