In the closed (tow) latch position, it will auto-latch onto the hitch ball when set on top with minimal weight. Solenoid plumbing built into the master cylinder eliminates; removal of the entire solenoid for servicing, detachment of brake hose, detachment of the actuator cover and detachment of the actuator from trailer tongue. 6,600 pounds capacity.

Easy install, great size for the master reservoir, bleeding brakes is a piece of cake and the brakes work as they should. When I first hooked the trailer up I didn't think it was all of the way on because the other trailer tongs have a method of locking on the ball that goes clear to the bottom of the ball and this one hooks up over the ball but not engulfing the full ball.

This was perfect for my conversion project. I converted a dead 1978 F350 dump truck into a dump trailer. This actuator works well with the existing drum brakes on the dually axle. One of the first loads I hauled was from a gravel pit on top of a large steep hill, I came down the hill smoothly loaded to the max. When i weighed out I was surprised to find out I was over loaded but the brakes worked well. Having to put a pin in the actuator to backup was inconvenient at first but now I just make sure I do it before trying to backup it also gets activated after driving downhill, my driveway is on a hill and after I stop on the flat spot it still is activated and needs to be pulled out to get the pin in place. HINT: I keep a tire chock on the trailer and chock in front of the tire and pull a bit forward to allow the lock pin to be put in place. Now I wonder why I did not do this conversion sooner.

This was a replacement for a 15 year old actuator. After installing it I believe this one will last as long.

Love it. Fit perfectly. Didn't have to drill any holes. Only had to bend the brake line to fit this actuator. From start to finish, took me 40 minutes and this was the first time I ever changed an actuator. I'm very happy with it.
