The switch replacement is simply an unbolt, unplug; replug and rebolt. A couple of things to note though:Its actually a torx bolt and I had to get a torx socket get it loose. I believe it was a TX30, but not totally sure. Also, the switch doesn't work properly unless it's bolted in and grounded. So trying it out while holding it doesn't work. With the torx socket & realizing the switch only works when bolted in (grounded) it's an easy job that took about 10 minutes.

This was a good OEM replacement switch. Easy to install and functions perfectly. This switch was a direct fit for my 2004 Lexus RX330 even though it shows that it's not compatible here on Amazon. I had looked up the part number before ordering and as I thought it's an exact match. Lexus is the luxury brand of Toyota so many parts are interchangeable.

Easiest install if your dome light doesn’t work due to this switch getting stuck. Swapped in less then 2 min one screw and quick connector and your done. Based on markingS on my old one this one is the exact OEM.
