This is a great solution if you want to connect a couple of desktop computers on your network. Simple just connect the cables to the switch and your computers, and then the router cable to the switch. You don't need to be a network guru to get it done. This basic non managed switch gets you connected quite nicely. Yes, I'd recomend it to friends and family.

I mean you can see already what it offers, it works really good, is small and easy to hide and has ways to mount it if you even want. If you are searching for something like this and the ports are enough for you the you should definitely buy it

The TP-Link switch being metal is well constructed and extremely durable. It has been totally reliable and lives up to its speed rating. The unit does not overheat like some others do. This one is connected to my video editing room and has no problems keeping up with the data demands going through it. We switched all of our older switches to the TP-Link switches. A great product and well worth the price.

Our tech friend set up a private network for us on our condos open wifi. He recommended this from TP and a router. We now have privacy for banking and online purchases. Works great!!!

The Router Device is extremely well protected for shipping. There is a double layer box and the inner part is a hard cardboard protector. The literature that came with it said "Lifetime warranty". I have an earlier model with a plastic case, that has been working fine for the last year. I bought this one to extend my broadband router and it was a cinch to install. I bought a couple of 3' patch cables and had everything put back together and connected to the internet in 15 minutes. No software setup at all.The case has padded feet to protect your furniture. But, it also has slots to attach it to a wall. It also has air vent holes on both sites of the case. I plan to remount it later to put it in the path of my PC's fan draft.
