Well made tool. Worked perfect in my M18 SDS+ hammer drill. Drove a few 8’ ground rounds into very hard dirt. Mushrooming wasn’t too bad on the rod and you can even see any wear on the bit. I would recommend this product.

Seems like a quality tool, I want use it often so it’ll probably last my lifetime. I’ve never used one of these before, it’s a bit slow in clay but it’s much easier than using a sledge.

I got this to do exactly what it's designed for, driving an eight-foot steel ground rod into the ground. Doing this by hand is at best difficult and at worst a nightmare. I drove a rod in on a very rocky piece of ground and this tool worked flawlessly. The SDS mount fit my demolition hammer drill. This thing was worth it's weight in gold. Give it a try, you can always go back to using a sledgehammer all day.

No need to drive rebar dowels or steel stakes with a sledge hammer anymore!! This easily speeds up the process 3X; and saves you a bunch of physical effort.

Drove two 8' copper grounding rods into the clay Ohio soil. It took quite a while (a bit more than 15 minutes per rod) but it did the job.
