We did not use the included expansion bolts. Not that they wouldn’t work just fine. Chose to use, 4 SS lag bolts as 8 would be overkill. Easy to install, perfect mounting solution. Heavy duty.

So far so good, just arrived today and got it installed easily. Only reason I take one star away is they include concrete anchors (which according to the instructions is how they intend for this to be installed) but they could very well include 8 decent sized wood screws as well for normal roof installation. The item is well constructed, and the hinges make for installation on multiple roof types or angles. I am using this to mount my PWS, and it works great. Very study once all the hinges and set screws are tightened down. I highly recommend this just make sure you are prepared to provide your own mounting hardware unless you are mounting this on a flat concrete roof.

I was unsure at first when it arrived. My handyman was sure it would be fine. He was right. This bracket is heavy duty and is actually holding a 6' tall weather vane on my 3 story barn, with no trouble at all! I definitely recommend this bracket.

Perfect for standard weather vane and highly functional with the adjustable angle bracket. It took me 15 minutes to install.A few things to note. 1. Do not use the supplied fasteners. These are for concrete so its weird that they include these. The holes in the bracket are large so I bought some 1/4" pan head philips screws from local hardware to install.2. Buy a caulk gun tube of bitumen roof patch ( tar ) so that you can pooky over the screws when your done.

The omly complaint was it came with 2 inch bolts designed to go through your roof and bolted from both inside and out. This would work well for a shed where you could get access, not so handy for your house. I purchased 4 galvanized screws of same dimension but shorter length to go through shingles (make sure you caulk holes) into plywood. Bracket adjusted well over roof peak.

As other reviews stated the hardware in the box is not likely to be what you need for installation. I had my roofer do it during a repair visit so he went and got the right bolt kit. Otherwise it is great, I had one on my previous home too and it holds up well over time.
