I have a Traeger Flatrock griddle. Of course I took the recommendation to season it with this Traeger product and I’m glad I did. The oil is a little thick which helped it apply well, wasn’t streaky and left a great durable seasoning that has held up great and is very non-stick. The tube was enough for about 6 coats on my Flatrock which has roughly a 33†wide cooking surface on it. Another great Traeger product! BTW…. Bought a second tube and seasoned my cast iron with it!!

I followed the instructions and it took about an hour start to finish to get a great seasoned surface on my new Traeger Flatrock griddle.I use Crisco natural blend oil to cook with. Nothing sticks to to the griddle that can’t easily be cleaned off. I just scrape it off, and wash it with hot water and Dawn. Then dry it and wipe it down with cooking oil after each use. I’m very happy with the Traeger Flatrock griddle and this conditioner.I’ve used other conditioners and oils on different steel/cast iron griddles and grills, and still had lot of food sticking to the surfaces. Using this conditioner on a Traeger griddle gives me a nearly nonstick surface. But truthfully, I’m not sure if it’s because the Traeger steel griddle is higher quality, or that this pricey conditioner is superior. If I had used this Traeger product on other griddles and had similar good results I would rate it 5 stars. However, objectively I could not give it 5 stars without testing it on other griddles.

I bought this thinking how much easier it would be just you use a paste. I followed the directions and what a mess this stuff made. I spent more time cleaning up the mess it was leaving behind then to actually conditioning the flat top. I ended up just doing it the way you season any cast iron pan.Long story short save your money.
