These are larger than they say. I used the 3000 for a while then ordered the 2000 that fit better on my 16 Silverado with a Leer shell. Sometimes when cold you need to add air or it will move. Drove 2000 miles in December with temps down to -25 and my kids stayed warm in the back of the truck.

Fit is really tight. Once inflated the air valve keeps slider window from operating properly. Has slight water leak during hard rain and snow. Some dripping but not horrible.Relieving air pressure helps with slider but valve area is still a problem. Seems to be very durable. Has been on truck for about a year now.

Well, I should have listened to the poor reviews. The boot was a nightmare to install, even though I have a drop down window on my cap. After wrestling with it for more than half an hour and getting very upset with the valve placement, I thought I finally had it installed. It rained last night and the boot leaked, even though the truck was just sitting in the driveway. I went out and got two pieces of 1" pipe insulation, took out the boot, and installed the insulation. I ran the water hose on it and guess what? No leaks. The problems I encountered with the boot are: 1.) there is no way to get all the wrinkles out of the boot, and wrinkles mean leaks. 2.) because of the valve placement, there is no way to inflate the boot once in place. 3.) the top section of the boot is too wide and has to extend over the brake light on top of my cab. The boot cannot be inflated past 1 pound PSI (according to the manufacturer) so it does not seal over the light.

I have no clue how this would ever install between a cab and a topper. I could not even start to get into place, let alone have access to the air valve. I got this for a 2016 RAM 1500. The cab and topper are close, and this said 3 inch gap or less, mine has maybe 1.5 inches. It also seems that IF you get it installed, it's not something you'd take in and out. I would not want water getting between the plastic and truck and causing damage. There were not any helpful instructions either, just said "Put in place and inflate" Well, that isn't helpful. I would not buy this unless you are familiar with them, not an item for a beginner. I will be returning it.
