This is nice for easily adding a winch to your vehicle. You don’t have to weld or bolt things to your vehicle. This mount allows you to mount your winch to the hitch and then slip this into the receiver. Of course, you will need the wiring and a quick disconnect if you want to remove it. This is not for those monster winches. It’s strength is 3600lbs. Once I mount the winch and see how much room it takes up I may weld a couple of strips to it for additional strength but I really don’t know if that is even needed. This makes adding a winch pretty easy work. If this is going to be used on the rear of your vehicle make sure to check the amperage draw and distance. You will need to use the appropriate wire for the load.

The square length is a tube, not solid, with a relatively thin wall thickness. Welds are not the best but as good as or better than what I could do. Top and Bottom the welds that secure the plate to the tube are only the width of the tube as shown in the pictures. This could be a stronger better product if the bottom of the tube extended the full length of the plate and was welded along the sides of that extension. And that is why I only give this four stars.So it definitely is a lighter duty duty winch mount. But that is what I was looking for and received. The winch I'll mount on it is only a 2000 lb. unit so this should be strong enough for that.The best part is that now I can have a small winch that I can mount on any of my tractors, vehicles, or four wheeler (which already has a fixed mount winch on the front). I really like that when not needed it can be stored somewhere protected from the elements! If I decide that I need another similar set up I would buy another mount plate like this assuming that this one doesn't break in normal use.

What I liked... The assembly uses steel plate (3/16" main mount) that was sheared clean and square, has no burrs with smooth mounting holes machine punched distortion free. The welds were run full bead and hot, penetration plenty. The fairlead mounting holes were placed dual width to fit many, including rollers. The finish is bed liner rugged, looks to be powdercoat application. A solid steel hitch pin was also included.What I didn't like... Nada. There isn't anything to dislike. It's not coming apart without a crazy amount of deliberate abuse and you can't buy the raw materials to make it yourself for this price. All 5 stars go here!

I have a 2in receiver on the back of my tractor, I installed a 2000lbs hand winch on this plate. It is very handy for puling logs and other heavy items that are back in the woods or in a ditch. I can run the cable out, take up all the tension with the winch and then pull whatever it is out. It much easer than a chain or tow strap, I can keep reeling the object in and get it close o the back of the tractor without have to unhook and readjust the chain every time. It is an awesome accessory for trucks, tractors and UTV's.

I got this to add a winch to my tractor and I did not want to buy two winches so this was perfect as I can use my winch on my tractor my tailor and my truck.had to do a little hole modification but it was super simple.made of heavy steel so it will last.great product

My UTV has a front winch, but I've always wanted one on the rear- and this is the best way to get one there. I ran 4 gauge cable to the rear, and used this bracket to install a Superwinch 3000.Everything bolted right up, and if my front winch failed I could use this in my front receiver as a backup. The quality of construction is adequate and the sturdiness of the mount is adequate for the intended purpose.

This mount is almost perfect for my application. It is of a medium duty construction but that is probably all it needs to be for most applications. Comes with a hitch pin and retaining key. I will be using this as a top mount for my receiver in which a small winch will be installed. (See picture). I will have to make a very minor adjustment and drill an additional hole but that was expected. I have to ding this item a star for the lack of quality control in its construction. When it was welded together they left a small hole about the size of a match head within the weld, (See Picture). It is on the top so any moisture such as rain will enter this hole and you will have an interior rust issue. Otherwise a good quality mount. 4 âï¸â€˜s
