I was looking for a good hefty hitch and this one is the best. I checked all of the normal manufacturers (Curt, Bulletproof, BW, Reese) and none of them matched up. They typically stop at 10k/12k for the 2 in ball. This one can go up to 14k on the same ball. The 2 5/16 ball goes up to 18.5k. That's as good as you get before going commercial.The hitch is hefty. Solid steel, reinforced, multiple dampeners, and a hex lock that allows you to snug up the shank to the receiver for shock absorption. It is also easy to disassemble for storage. 1 pull pin releases the locking pin for the ball.

Just received this hitch after putting a lift on the truck. This hitch is SOLID. Comes with a locking pin to keep the hitch attached to the truck with 3 keys. The metal bar that connects the ball assembly to the hitch is also solid and seems like it'll do the job with w/e I'm pulling. Will be pulling an enclosed trailer and race car with this set up, will update later if the hitch fails at any point.

Very heavy duty hitch but with a major oversight and flaw. You can not secure (as in lock) the ball part of the hitch to the main tower! The photos give the impression you could secure using a lockable hitch pin but no. The ball is connected to the tower using a long pin that only has an R-clip, the hole is simply too small to attempt and use a lock. Extremely disappointing. Security of my hitch is major factor I must consider, so for me this huge miss makes it a 2 star hitch.

Central pin is held in place with a small cotter pin only - not possible to lock it in place, which would make it easy for someone to remove the entire hitch ball and trailer. If you can accept this it is a nice adjustable hitch, very heavy, solid and well made.UPDARE: Vendor was extremely responsive to my concerns and has requested a change to the product to allow it to be secured. ALso wanted ot make sure the refund was received. Very good customer support, deserves a different rating so increased to 4 stars. Docked a star for the security issue, which might not impact everyone.

These hitches come packed in high density foam and I use this to store the hitch when not in use. Plus, this eye for detail goes a long way to indicating the overall quality of the hitch.This is my second XPE hitch. I also have a 2.5â€, 8 “ drop hitch for my bigger vehicle. Ordered this because we also tow with a Mercedes GL 550 and it has a 2†receiver. I really love this thing. It is just so well made and looks good. I really enjoy rating really nice products and this one is no exception. It is obvious that the manufacturer is interested in presenting a well finished hitch. I have been towing for years and have purchased plenty of hitches from our local “economically priced super storeâ€, and those brands frankly look like they whip out hundreds a day. This one just feels more bespoke. There is no wiggling or banging when you’re towing and it feels really solid. I am pretty stingy on 5 stars for a review but this brand continues to exceed my expectations.5 stars because,1. Next level manufacturing, incredible finish.2. No burrs, nice rounded corners, feels and looks fantastic.3. Great range of height adjustment.4. Precision alignment of the two parts.5. Quality lockable hitch pins.6. Good quality but sits so low had to flip it in order to stop scraping the ground on inclines it’s like driving a lowboy over rail tracks sometimes.
