Install springs as per video on YouTube let the gate down one time and it bent the springs and now won't do anything they're junk waste of a couple hours of work would not recommend these to work on a lawn trailer gate

My snowmobile trailer door would not budge - forcing it, broke the hinge brackets on the aluminum door - the old springs had rusted solid to the shaft - this time, used 1" springs on a 3/4 stainless bar - should last forever - good quality springs - had to do some modifications to get them to clear - but now door works like a champ!

These are not made of true spring steel , they literally just vent and never sprung back

Used these on ramp of utility trailer. They lost their full 180° in the relaxed position or ramp in up position by 40° on the fist use. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

First use "spring" got deformed and lost its tension after the first cycle.
