About this item

  • Finding unique colors of electrical tape to mark your gear is tough, and when you finally find blue, cutting it into those tiny little strips is a pain
  • Fast and easy to apply! Superior adhesive withstands temperatures from -40°F to 176°F! Available in 10 bright colors! Special UV finish to protect high gloss color! One of the highest abrasion resistant materials available!
  • Then, when you actually get everything marked, the first time you toss your rack into a hot car trunk the adhesive migrates and gets sticky crap all over your gear Rack Tags are the solution
  • Maintains color even when abraded! Rounded ends prevent peeling! Perfect size for placing on carabiners, SLCD's and other climbing equipment! Supplied in packs of 100 tags and available in 10 colors

Rack Tags are the brand new solution for the age-old problem of rack shrinkage. Several testers agree they have never used anything better to ID their rack. For about the price of one carabiner, 100 pieces of gear can be tagged, protecting your precious rack from pilferage, shrinkage or loss. Ever combine racks for a multi pitch route and flinch as you hand over entire sets of cams?? Well, not anymore, save time sorting gear and use it for the climb, spend less time at belays, and top out sooner, color code your rack and never lose a piece again. This is not your typical, messy UL Listed tape. Rack Tags are peel, fade, and abrasion-resistant, available in 10 brilliant colors, fast to apply (kiss those time consuming strip cutting hours goodbye), and will stick like mad to cams, 'biners, nuts, and hexes, even mark pickets, ice screws, and pins because this pressure sensitive adhesive will stick down to -40 degrees F.

Convenient, and seem to stay on slightly better than regular electrical tape.

OK, not rocket science, but the tags work well and stay in place. A time saver for the price, saves the hassle and marks your gear.

It sure how people are having trouble with them staying on but I have gear that have the same tags they started with 10 years ago. Common sense to put them someplace that won't likely or often come in contact with the rock or other gear like biners. They are easy, cheap, and save tons of time over other common methods.

I ordered Magenta, and that's what I got: a bright neon pink color. I don't know what I was thinking, but the picture posted for that color is a deep maroon color. I know what magenta means, and I know I should've expected a bright pink, but I think I bought that option based on the color of the tags shown in the picture. My mistake, but it's also their mistake for misrepresenting their product. If you sell a color option for 'blue', then don't post a picture of 'brown', that's how you get mixed up orders and dissatisfied customers.

They work fairly well but a lot of mine have been falling off. Mostly quick draws. They definitely work better on metal, but they still chip and peal off. I personally won't buy again.

try to place these tags somewhere not in contact with the rock. Otherwise they will come off after the first use outside

Stickers still have a tendency to peel off at the ends if you don't use enough pressure.

They did not stick at all. After my 1st rock climbing trip this year, most fell off. I expected something more durable and did not get it.
