I have a leaning tower of power with a single barrel intake. I’m replacing the motor soon and just wanted the car running so it was easier to move around and work on. I had a cheap 2 barrel on hand so I bought this and flipped it upside down and the car runs. It does add significant height so there is no room for even the smallest air cleaner but this was a perfect cheap for now solution so I don’t have to push the car on to the lift.

Bought this to replace a Holley 1920 carb with a Carter style BBD carb. I would caution to make sure you line up your gasket between the carb and the adapter because it could interfere with the butterflies on the throttle plate. Once you are lined up it functions flawlessly. I would be careful tightening the bolts as it looks like it wouldn't care to be over torqued, but it worked with zero issues. Clearance is tight between the air breather housing and the bottom of the hood but it barely fit for my application. (1987 D150 with a 225 slant 6 engine.)

The quality of the metal is meh, but it's more than strong enough to hold down the carb. I used it to put a Weber 32/36 in place of a Carter B&B and it did good, just needed some grinding to get the studs to fit the Weber.

Unfortunately, the thickness of the aluminum wall is quite thin in one area on one side; in filing down the metal a bit for optimum fitment, I quickly broke through that wall and had to fashion a patch.
