This is a beautiful palette with a sturdy metal case. I love the pure white color! Users could fill the wells with enough paint to do several projects, as they're about the size of a half pan, or the wells can stay empty for mixing. I've had no issues with staining--even with deep blues and purples! The large mixing well is also big enough to hold some travel brushes. The Bower Bird travel set is not my favorite but it does fit perfectly. There is some wiggle room inside the metal case, so I kept the foam it was packed in to protect it during travel. I also super-glued a piece of ribbon to the porcelain to aid in removing the palette for cleaning. (That also allows me to easily switch to the four wells on the back!) It might be heavier than some would like, especially those who are flying or need something slimmer, but I've found it perfect for what I need. The price is great, too! I would just suggest swatching on actual watercolor paper, as the included swatch card is really thin and not suitable for watercolors.

I love the appearance of the outside and I love the ceramic wells and mixing area. It’s the perfect size to take with you and there is room for many colors

Just what I was looking for to travel with a small palette. Pretty and functional!

First of all I plan on getting another of these portable travel palettes! The ceramic is very nice. It is a snow white color and I don't see any flaws or bubbles. There are nice deep wells for watercolor and a mixing space on the front. You could turn it over and use the back if you preferred. I was able to easily mix watercolors and then clean the palette without any residue or staining. It has a nice solid weight and fits inside the tin perfectly with just a little wiggle room so it can come out easily. The tin also has good hinges and securely snaps together but isn't too hard to open. Very pleased.

Great little travel palette for watercolors. I’m enjoying using it while I learn to watercolor.

This is a great little palette for taking along on a trip. I have a small one with a plastic insert that was 3D printed that fits into an Altoids type tin but this one is better. It's a little heavier, and a little bigger, but the fact that it's ceramic not plastic and has a ceramic mixing area is what sold me.I have not put paint into it yet, still deciding which 12 I want to add - it's a big decision, since I think it would be a real pain to try to remove one color if you wanted to change it out for some reason (unlike palettes with pans that you can pop out and move around at will)Would highly recommend, though, if you like to take paints when you travel

I really like the paper key for the paint colors. I love the porcelain palette. It is just what I needed for quick sketches with watercolors. It encourages me to paint.
