I bought this for a trip to the Caribbean and it worked very nicely for hanging my bathing suits and a few other hand-washed items after rinsing them. The suction cups did not work well, so I just looped the ends and used the clips which was a preferable solution anyway given the weight of the items when wet. It's very easy to thread the clothing through the line so that clothespins/clips are not needed. Highly recommend this for your travels, especially if you will have swimwear or will wash clothing.

I took this with me on a recent trip that entails staying in a hotel for 4 weeks. While the hotel does have washers and dryers, some women’s clothing simply cannot be put into the dryer. This is when the clothes line comes in. I tied one end to the towel shelf in the bathroom and hooked the other end to the corner of the mirror. The suction seems good as it never came off, although I did not load it with lots of clothes. I particularly like its versatility; I can put items on it directly through a loop, hand something over it, or use a hanger on it. The only downside is that the suction cup could not adhere to the tiled surface in the room I stayed, as the tile surface there is not the smooth, shiny kind. But I was able to find an adequate place to set up the line so it was all good.

I purchased this item to use on a cruise ship, but was disappointed that it wouldn’t stick to any surface I tried. It wouldn’t adhere to the shower door, the mirror, or the bathroom wall. I tried using the suction cups when they were dry, and also a little damp, it didn’t make any difference. The suction cups just aren’t very strong at all. I did get it to stick briefly on the shower doors, but after clipping in just two items, it fell to the floor within 10 or 15 minutes. Maybe it would’ve worked better on a different surface, but definitely will not recommend for cruise ships.

Purchased this item for a cruise. The suction cups weren't great, but I was able to loop it around the shower fixtures for extra security. True to description, no clothespins are needed. Simply insert an edge of the fabric between the two twisted cords. Worked like a charm.

Used this on a trip through Europe with carryon bag only! It really stuck tight to shower wall! Held up a full line of clothes just fine. I will use this again in the future for sure. (Note: you should check into the humidity of where you are traveling because if it’s very humid it can take a long time to dry clothes this way!)I washed clothes in sink or shower and then after hand wringing I rolled them in a bath towel and squeezed it for a while. This got the majority of the water out. One time I hung it in the closet using the clips by clipping back onto the line after wrapping it around the hanging bar.

Suction cups aren’t strong enough to hold any weight, and the cord’s braid is not tight enough to hold fabric without clips. Luckily it was not expensive.

Absolutely loved this clothesline.I spent several weeks in Europe (Germany and Italy primarily) and access to laundry is hit/miss and first come first serve when off post. This allowed me to spend less time in the laundry after washing and get on with my day since I could hang dry in my room.Additionally since I usually wear merino wool or wool when traveling, it allowed me to air them out without laundering so I could get 2-3 wears between washes.Packs super small so I just put it in a small case (there in no accompanying carry case, THAT would be nice). Suction is very good on glass or smooth tile, not great on Porous tile.I keep it in my black hole duffel (which is exceptional for travel as well!) so I always have it with me on travel…I would highly recommend it.

We got this for a 2-week overseas trip and used it almost every day. The suction cups are not terribly useful, as other reviews have noted, but the clips come in very handy. The twisted elastic also work well to keep items separated. Works better with lighter weight items.

Bought this for a friend. You will have to wind it up after a couple of years yes just to tighten again. Works like new again. Had mine for 15 years and still using it. Family if your snd it was fantastic!

The clothesline is a black elasticized cord. The cord diameter is approximately 4mm thick. The ends are complete with suction cups but have loops for connection to magnetic hooks. It takes a bit more space for packing but is very useful for cruise shipping the world.

I was shocked how well this little line performed. Took it to Europe this summer, and it's a well-thought out design. It was the perfect size to stretch across your average hotel balcony and the clips hooked around the metal railings providing a great outside line, and our hotel in Berlin with no balcony was a challenge, but the suction hooks grabbed a mirror and the shower stall glass in the bathroom and our wet pants and shirts didn't bring it down at all. 10/10, would buy again.

Clothes pins aren’t needed! Twisted cord of the clothes line holds clothing nicely. Suction cups to shower or fastened to balcony while at a hotel. This was a great accessory to have on our last girl’s trip to Cuba!
