When searching for carry-on luggage, it seems that the luggage sizes widely vary even though they may say they meet airline reqt dimensions. These actually meet the 22"x14"x9" size reqt including wheels & handles. Additionally, these are very light at just 6.1lbs. Just that reqt alone eliminated 90% of the carry-on's that I searched for. The luggage itself appears well made and good quality. The wheels spin easily & freely. They attach slightly recessed into the bag so hopefully that helps them stay intact when travelling. The handle telescopes up with two handle lengths possible. The grab handles are thick & heavy rubber to avoid any broken handle issues. They also are closely aligned to the bag so as not to increase overall size. The built-in TSA lock works well and is easy to set your own code. The bag does have a 2" expansion gusset should you need to put more in it but this will expand it passed the carry-on size reqt. On the interior, I liked that both sides have zippered enclosed compartments. This will making packing the clamshell type case easier and nothing falls out when opening/closing. The zippers all move freely and don't anticipate any issues. Ended up with the Ensign Blue color as other desired color was sold out. After receiving it, the Ensign Blue color was appealing and happy with my choice.

It can load a lot of items without making the suitcase feel heavy. It doesn’t bulk as well when your bag is overweight. Outter shell is strong and has expandable zipper. Definitely value for money!

This bag is lightweight & fits within budget euro carriers. Good telescoping handle and good wheels, it worked well for my trip to Spain and Italy.

This is for the 28-inch model. When I received this suitcase, it seemed like it was just right for what I needed it for: A longer trip where I'd need to pack for more than 10 days and check the bag. It was lightweight and seemed sturdy, although even initially the zippers felt a bit flimsy. Was I right about that one.Half way through the first trip it was taken on, a 12-day jaunt through 3 cities, I tried to close the zipper only to find that it had opened u on its own behind the zip. I was able to work the zip back such that the zipper sipped again, but (a) there was never that much stress on it (the suitcase was never over-packed) and (b) it hadn't been zipped and unzipped more than a few times. That it came apart that easily did not give me any faith that it would stay together. (Thank goodness I had a luggage strap.)And when I got to my 3rd destination, when I put the suitcase on the bed, I noticed that one of the wheels was simply missing. No idea when it could have happened. Certainly when I was rolling it through airports and train stations and hotels and sidewalks I never banged it. But heck, there's no way that the wheel assemblies should not be built to take much more than anything it could have endured on this one trip.Thing is, even if the company were to reach out and offer a replacement, it would not be something I could trust to last. There is no sturdiness to this product, and for something that is meant to travel with , to be opened and closed and rolled and tossed, for it to fail in not one, but two places so, so quickly suggests to me that this is not a product that could reasonably be considered to be of even middling quality and is not one that could reasonably be expected to last even a short amount of time.Not recommended.

I love this product but the handles are unbelievably tight and scrape my knuckles. I’m afraid when I’m traveling, my hands will be raw. Otherwise, I love the design, large capacity, and ease in rolling. Just the handles are extremely tight.

The dark gray color is beautiful. Low sheen metallic look. Simple, easy telescope handle. Very little give when fully extended so less wobble moving this around. There is a handle notch on the bottom to aid in grabbing this for lifting purposes. Key feature for me. Stand a bit taller to my other ‘carryon’ but don’t foresee a problem with size. Haven’t travelled with it yet, but will update soon!

Purchased my 21†Maxlite Air specifically to make the switch to Carry-On Only air travel. Had just returned from nearly 3 weeks in France and due to airline chaos in summer 2022 we went carry on only. My wife had a small roller but I had 40L Patagonia Black Hole Duffel which was great but a pain to lug through airports.The Maxlite gives me the same capacity, in a very lightweight hard sided 4-wheel roller. Super high quality and bang for your buck, consistent with all the reviews I had read. Also gives the option to expand it 2†in depth if you wanted to do some shopping and then check the bag on way home. I’ll update my review after our next trip this fall but it is ALL a question of capacity for me so I did a packing test-run.I’m a slim shorter guy (small shirts, 29/30 pants, size 7 shoes) so judge accordingly about quantities. But as per photo attached, I determined the max I can bring as: 8-10 tees/polos, 6-7 button-up shirts, 1 light sweater, 4-5 shorts/swim trunks, 4-5 pants, 1 blazer, 2 jackets, 3 belts, 10 underwear, 12 socks, 2 pairs of shoes and 1 pair of sandals. That includes what I wear on the plane (jeans, tee, sweater, jacket, 1 of the pairs of shoes). But everything else went in the suitcase, along with sunglasses, lint roller and electric razor…and that is NOT expanded. That’s up to 18 tops…and therefore 18 outfits, making Carry-On only a totally realistic option for ANY length of trip, especially if you had a Vrbo or Airbnb with laundry. I will add a third pair of shoes in my small daypack “personal item†along with my toiletries and electronics.So it had surprising capacity and was still very lightweight when full. The right hand side that has the handle beneath has less space kind of in 3 little channels, so pack accordingly with shoes etc slotted in between.The Maxlite Air 21†was below all the carry on dimensions for all airlines I checked and I looked at pretty much all the Canadian, American, and European carriers, including discount ones like Easyjet and Ryanair.I’m officially converted to traveling light…and the TravelPro seems to be the perfect fit to make it a more comfortable walk through airports or along city streets. Again will update after my first trip…but hope the above info is useful for anyone who (like me) was very hesitant to ditch the checked luggage.
