I've had Maxtrax MKII about 5 years ago and loved them. However, had to replace them due to helping out a few too many people where they spun their wheels and melted the knobs off. Because the Maxtrax got so popular due to the IG overlanders out there it made no sense to buy them again at $300+ for a pair. So for the last 4 years I had 2 pair of TRED 1100s (which costs the same as one pair of Maxtrax) that have served me well. No real issues either. However, I had a friend convince me I needed to upgrade over to the TREDPros due to their smaller stack height and bomb proof reliability.I used my pair in 5 recoveries so far, including some with wheel spin. The boards still look brand new! They're so good that I just picked up a second set today for extra insurance.
