This single tone chime has a clear sound that's useful for sound healing, meditation, recording music, or alerting others. It's light and portable to be used for any reason. Comes with a hard poly mallet that brings out a sparkling tone to fill the room. The wood base measures 5 7/8" L x 1 1/8" W x 3/4" H, and the chime weighs 3 ounces overall. The mallet measures 8" L with a 1" round head. In the summer of 1996, Tree Works Chimes was created by Mitch McMichen. It began in his garage in Nashville, Tennessee. The first set of chimes was made with a hacksaw and a hand drill. It didn't look like much, but that was the first step to crafting the perfect set of chimes. When asked about the early days of Tree Works, Mitch replies, "I wasn't trying to start a company. I was trying to find a sound." Since then, TreeWorks Chimes has grown to become the most respected chimes producer in the percussion world - used by top studio and touring drummers as well as percussionists and the top 24 drum corps. These instruments are still handmade in Nashville, Tennessee and are unmatched in craftsmanship and sound quality. (It is of note that Mitch McMichen has earned Gold and Platinum records for his recording work in Nashville. )

Love that this is made in the USA. It looks lovely and well made. Bought it to replace one similar that we had to return to another classroom. But the tone of this one is a little high and not as pleasant. Wish it were a deeper, richer tone. I'm giving it only 2 stars because of the less pleasant tone.

Very pleased with it . Feels comfortable to hold not to big or to small . The sound is not annoyingly overly high pitched . Very pleased and am glad that I chose to purchase it
