I am a retired furniture maker and rarely use nails, with the exception in reproductions, such as chests and Shaker boxes. I used these square nails for attaching the bottoms to Shaker boxes. Predrilled of course. Worked great.

I use these cut nails for decrotive accents on rough furmiture. I drill pilot holes for the nails on glued pieces. The nails allow me to remove clamps sooner and they look great. See the table top and skirt of the TV stand.

The nails are nice for projects where you want old style, square nails. There is a slight variation in size--some are a little thicker, some a little slimmer--however they are the nicest square nail remakes I got so far.

I pre-drilled holes in the 1x pine boards that I used to install these in... they look great when installed. They are thick, so pre-drilling is suggested to prevent splitting the wood.
