Recently, I picked up a new Stihl FS 111 R for home trimming and edging. Upon the first use, I found the .095 orange Stihl line easily broke off at the head when edging my driveway, so I grabbed some .105 Stihl CF3 and found it to be good enough, durable, didn't break off at the head but it didn't seem to grip as well or cut as cleanly. Bought both the Black Diamond and CF3 in .095, w/the expectation the BD wouldn't be as durable, so planned to spool both. Having tried the BD first, there's nothing to not like about it. I don't have a big yard but it's a mixed bag w/a bulkhead, concrete foundation, aluminum fence, some trees and poles to edge against. The BD did it all exceptionally well compared to anything I've used previously and w/o the need to bump the line even one time. It's quieter, requires less revs, cuts effortlessly and is more than durable enough for my needs. Just wish I'd expected it to be this good before purchasing the second spool of CF3. Easy to see why it's so popular!

This item was referred to me by a family member, I was amazed on the performance of it, I now use half of the throttle than before , it cuts way better than the old round stock line. Less effort and cuts very clean I definitely recommend this item.

This sticks works a lot better than some stuff I have bought in stores. It doesn’t just break off constantly. I’m using it in my Dewalt 20v weed trimmer. It’s very stiff and solid material. Worked for my needs and a lot of line for the price!

Cuts well but gets caught in the spool, I’ll probably go back to the stihl line after I’ve finished this stuff, only because it’s more efficient.

This echo black diamond strimmer line is well balanced it seems to cut evenly and will chop up anything in its path but it still breaks not so much as other lines that I've tried over the years and the price of this is a great deal thanks echo for this great product.
