Dual-certified for both bike and skate, it also has patented MIPS technology that reduces rotational forces during impact. An ABS shell with EPS liner, engineered for a close fit and low profile, is separated by a low friction layer that allows the helmet to slide when subjected to an angled impact. Ideal for biking, skateboarding, longboarding, BMX, roller derby, and commuting, the helmet complies with U.S. CPSC Safety Standard for Bicycle Helmets for Persons Age 5 and Older and ASTM F-1492 Skate safety standards. The Triple 8 Dual Certified MIPS Helmet includes two different sets of removable helmet pads to customize fit, and has an adjustable chin strap with side release buckle. Available in three sizes: XS/S fits 19.7 – 21.5 in (50 – 55 cm), S/M fits 21.5 – 22.75 in (55 – 58 cm), L/XL 22.75 – 24 in (58 – 61 cm). To determine proper size, measure the circumference of the head starting in the middle of the forehead (use a soft measuring tape or string). Helmet liners should be used to further customize the fit.

Bought for my 15 year old niece for Skateboarding. Adjustable and fit her perfectly. I use MIPs helmets for mountain biking glad to find a helmet that can be used for skating with the added protection.

My daughter uses this for skateboarding and she loves it. Comfortable for long use. It has MIPS which makes me feel good about her safety should anything happen.

I bough this for my son. In a world of nerdy stuff it is the least dorky. Want his cranium protected but not embarrassed.

I have not fallen to talk about the protection itself, but it’s double certified which is good. It feels comfortable, it has two different internal padding options to make it for a bit better. It’s a bit bulky, like most helmets. I tried a bunch looking for a smaller slicker one, but they are all very close in size. You will still look like a NASA rocket or a Super Mario mushroom.😂 Other than that, I like the finish in this matte black color I chose. No additional stickers or accessories come in the box other than the helmet and the padding. It’s a good price IMO. This is the L/XL size version and my head measured 23.25 inches. It was a very exact fit. So make sure to take your measurements with measuring tape and be accurate. Leave some extra wiggle room if you don’t like a tight fit. They are not adjustable like other helmets. It does not feel light, but not very heavy either. Hope this helps.

We bought several sizes of this helmet as our official MIPS upgrade gear for various activities. We use it for biking and electric scooter riding mostly. It has the latest safety technologies and certifications so we chose this. In Florida it gets hot here and this remains cool and comfortable so far.I wish it came in ladies colors though because we are all women wearing them in blue.We just wear blue jeans and blues in our blouses to match it on the mobility days we use them. LOL We would have liked white or pink. Anyway, this item earns 5 stars from us!

I ended up returning this helmet. I bought it along with the Triple 8 dual certified sweat saver, so that I could compare both. The certified sweat saver is soooo much more comfortable and better fitting than this one. I measured my head and ordered the proper sizes based off the measurements. The certified sweat saver sits low on my head, is lightweight, and surprisingly comfortable for being a helmet. The pads inside that one are nice and soft. This one with the MIPS technology, it sits way high up on my head, and feels uncomfortable on my head, and the pads are barely even pads, more like pieces of fabric. I was willing to give the MIPS technology a try, but the certified sweat saver is a better fit for me, and still has safe technology being that it's dual certified. Maybe in the future, the MIPS one will not only be as safe but as comfortable as the current dual certified helmets.As far as the quality, it looks to be a good quality triple 8 product. Smooth matte finish, beautiful color, sturdy well made straps. It's just very uncomfortable, which wouldn't have encouraged me to wear it.

My son loves it for his BMX life. He's had it on almost everyday since the helmet arrived and has already added all his favorite decals to truly make it his. He says it's the best helmet he's had yet!Fortunately no crashes to say we've truly tested it out -- but as a parent, I'm stoked we went with the MiPS technology for that added protection. Thanks for making great helmets, Triple8!

It seems good quality but the sizing is sort of weird. I have ordered the correct size yet I was unable to put on my head as it was super tight and very uncomfortable. Feels like it is designed for very narrow head
