Love this helmet. I've never skated before but am trying to learn how to ride a long board. Decided that my regular bike helmet probably wasn't the best protection. Great value for this helmet, comfortable, light, and hopefully never have to learn how well it protects my noggin - but it fits great and covers my entire head.Some other reviews commented that the lock mechanism at the back of the head interferes with collars, but even wearing a hoodie I had no touching of the back of the helmet to my sweater. Perhaps that reviewer had the helmet pushed back very far? I have the SM helmet and am a petite woman, so it really does cover my whole head. No troubles and I love the fit in the back. I'm using the extra padding (included) to make it a tighter fit. Great helmet. Oh, and great color. :)

I serched for a long time for the perfect bike AND skate certified helmet, and this was the one I chose. I tried a few on at my local stores and just didn't like their "standard feel". I took a chance with this after reading a lot of reviews. I'm very happy with this Triple Eight Gotham helmet. I do A LOT of skating as well and this is perfect. Very comfortable. It stays in proper position without being too tight. It truly is a perfect fit for my 22.5 inch brain container (my head ha ha). My friend got his Bell certified helmet from walmrt and now he wants one like mine. The bell is ok, but I love this Triple8 Gotham...The extra few bucks was well worth it. It is a tiny bit heavier than my friends helmet however the construction is top notch quality. It has a triple 8 logo that you turn on the back of the helmet that tightens or loosens the fit, great design, I simply love it. It's comfortable, I got an extra set of sweat saver liners, it's fantastic quality construction, and bonus it's a perfect match for my new beach cruiser bike (also purchased here on amazon). I strongly recommend that you support your local skate shop. If you can. I was concerned about wearing a helmet that was uncomfortable or too heavy. This helmet came with two different size thickness inner pads. I tried them both to find the smaller of the two(L) fit me best. The inner sweat pads are attached with velcro style fasteners, so swapping them around was easy, and makes cleaning them a breeze. The ratcheting adjustable support strap at the back of the helmet really customized the fit. Feels great to have an off the shelf helmet fit so personally. The helmet doesn't slop around on my head or feel like an inconvenience to wear while in motion as it's not a heavy helmet. I would recommend this helmet as a great option in your helmet quest.

My original review: This helmet is difficult to review. For the price, I cannot complain...I like it better than 2 other 100 dollar helmets that I had.What I like about the Gotham helmet is that it looks like it would offer real protection in a crash (it did), and I like the way it looks, too. It is a great cold weather helmet, as all the foam, combined with little ventilation keeps the head warm. Frankly, I won't be wearing this helmet when the temp climbs above 70 degrees or so. Really, there is not much ventilation. Great in Oregon's cold rainy winter, but not so much in summer.Also, the twist tensioner adjustment in the back is cheap and poorly designed. It is bulky and will rub on the collar of a jacket. Every time I turned my head to the right, it would actually turn the knob and loosen up.I pulled the whole system out (pops out with little plastic grommets and can be replaced) then I used the thicker foam pads that came with the helmet...now the helmet fits my large head perfectly. But this will not work for everyone.I would give the helmet 4 stars as it is now, for myself. But I can only give it 3 stars overall, taking into the consideration the poor execution of the rear tension knob.proslooks great, the cream color is classy, understated, and still very visible at nightgood thick foam protectioncomfortable (if you can make it fit your head)I like the little details like the brown leather on the chin strap, and the red buckle.good priceconstoo hot in summeralmost useless rear tension knob (better to take the whole thing out and just use the thick pads and tighten chin strap)UPDATE: (1-24-18) upped my rating to 4 stars despite its flaws. Yet to test it on the road because it's so rainy and cold this time of year but happy to have found a hat that will protect my kid sized head! The XS/S was a perfect fit for my head (which is about 50cm). It does look a lil bulky BUT IT AINT NO FASHION SHOW PROTECTING YA BRAIN!!! I'm just pleased it fits well and the colour is cute!

Helmet fit good and I could wear during warm / hot days. I unfortunately got to use the helmet for its main purpose and that’s saving you head.Used this helmet when on an electric board when I crashed. Hit the pavement with the back of my helmet hard - hard enough to crack and ended up at a local hospital to get checked out. I ended up basically walking away, just sore and cut up thanks to this helmet.

This is a great helmet. I flipped backwards skating a few weeks ago, wearing my old bike helmet, and whacked my head pretty good. It was a decent helmet and probably saved me, but I replaced it with this one. I think this helmet would have helped more. It's a more substantial helmet in terms of weight and padding, but still not too hot for some odd reason. it's easy to adjust to get a snug fit with the little adjustment knob in the back. the flat finish is also kind of cool. Very comfortable.

I bought this helmet for both my young boys so that they had a proper scooter helmet. This product stood out from the others (a lot of helmets I see children wearing just don't fit or sit correctly) which I'd research last year when buying skateboards but at that point I couldn't find them in the UK.As another reviewer pointed out the adjustment at the back of this helmet provides a nice and customed fitting for each user. It also includes additional padding, which I haven't had to use for my boys (ages 5 and 7) given the adjustment mechanism. Great helmet - and most important, its a safe well fitted helmet which has already been used (and tested) for scooting, skateboarding and cycling.

Ich habe den Helm bestellt, weil er mir optisch gut gefiel. Einmal aufgesetzt verwandelt sich mein Kopf jedoch in die Größe einer Wassermelone. Er sah riesig aus, trotzdem war der Helm merklich eng und hat an mehreren Stellen gedrückt. Es mag an meiner Kopfform liegen oder am Helm, mir passt er nicht.

Habe vorher mehrere Helme zur Auswahl bestellt bzw. im Geschäft ausprobiert, von günstiger bis sehr teuer. Insgesamt ca. 6 verschiedene Marken. Dieser Helm liegt in der mittleren Preiskategorie und ich muss sagen,trotzdem er am Hinterkopf nicht zu verstellen ist, passt er wie angegossen. Er drückt nicht ist superleicht und trägt nicht so auf wie andere Helme (man sieht nicht unbedingt aus wie "Lord Helmchen")Klare Kaufempfehlung

Fits well, looks nice and is comfortable but the screw in the back with which the helmet is adjusted to fit ones head is so massive that it catches your collar and loosens by itself.
