It does slam a little bit when shutting down, but it works very well.I have it hooked up to a tethered switch that turns on when my tank gets low and turns off when my tank is full and this works wonderful.

Valve mechanically operates fine. But there is significant flow loss across the valve.Used this in a gravity feed system to keep a holding tank full. Without the valve, the inflow is fine. With the valve installed the flow rate is so much lower that the holding tank empties. If you need to keep flow rate once the valve is installed, you won’t be able to.

Used it all summer as part of my DIY pool heater in combination with a temp. controller. So far so good, no leak, no overheat (although it runs quite hot) and no visible rusting ( Ive cut a plastic gallon jug over it as a shield from rain). If not ran perfectly horizontal it will make a very annoying buzzing sound. Pressure must be present in the system for it to seal/work as intended.

I liked overall. Great price. Used for a few months. Doesn't 'slow leak' like others in this price range. I withheld one star because I would like to see some holes and/or ears (for mounting) Currently the only way to mount is to fab a bracket which uses the 4 screws that hold the valve together (and you need to use thin metal)....or to also use the top cap nut - which I don't like because that is attached to the coil magnet and te nds to vibrate loose at times (bottom line: great but hard to mount).
