About this item

  • LOW PROFILE & HEAVY LOAD CAPACITY – The aluminum Lazy Susan ring measures 8 inches in diameter with a low-profile 0.98 inch height. It can safely handle loads up to 300 lbs.
  • SMOOTH TURNING WITH LESS NOISE – Each Lazy Susan turntable comes with a lubricated, single-row of ball bearings. They also have spacers between the bearings to ensure smooth rotation and act as a muffler to mute noise when rotating. Important: Not as "free turning" as Lazy Susan's without the spacers.
  • PRE-DRILLED HOLES FOR SCREWS – We did the “heavy lifting” for you. Every swivel base comes with pre-punched 3/16" screw holes with tapered edges on the inner ring for rapid installation.
  • DESIGNED FOR USE INDOORS & OUTDOORS – This Lazy Susan hardware is highly resistant to corrosion and rust, making it an excellent choice for indoor and outdoor applications.
  • PRACTICAL FOR HEAVY OBJECTS – Use the aluminum rotating rings for items that require a stong base. Rotate ice sculptures, large woodwoking projects, wine barrel projects and more. Turn your ceramic smoker or favorite lounge chair with ease. Ideal for machinery like 3D printers, testing cabinets and heavy stone. The more weight on these rings, the better they turn.

Product Description

Use all round the house

Welcome to our Troops BBQ brand of products!

In 2013, our company started manufacturing dining tables that incorporated Lazy Susan's on the table top.

We quickly realized that many people wanted to make their own Lazy Susan's to match their table or individual application.

Over the years, we have developed the rings and added to our assortment of options. While we no longer manufacture furniture, we have focused on improving our products and delivering a quality component for your next building project. Today we offer a variety of rotating options including Heavy & Commercial Duty Aluminum Lazy Susan Rings, Steel Turntables, Silver and Black Steel Lazy Susan Rings Steel Rings as well as free-spinning Acrylic turntables. Feel free to send us a message if you need help or advice on which option is best for your project. Our success is based on your experience and satisfaction with our products.

Lazy Susan

Variety of Sizes

With a variety of sizes, it's easy to match the Lazy Susan to your application or project.

Heavy Duty Aluminum

Heavy Duty Aluminum

Made with an aluminum alloy, our Lazy Susan rings withstand loads between 300 and 450 lbs. depending on the size ring.

Muffler Strip

Muffler Strip

Unlike other Lazy Susan Rings, the Commercial Duty Rings include a nylon Muffler Strip to facilitate smooth quiet rotation. Where the nylon ends meet is the muffler expansion point.

Non-Marring Pads

Non-Marring Pads

Each side of the ring includes rubber non-marring pads for easy placement. The inner ring has pre-drilled holes allowing for screws to attach the top of your choice.

No Screws Included

No Screws Included

With many mounting options, we did not include screws. Please purchase and use screws appropriate for the material you are attaching to the turntable.

Hands On Movement

Hands On Movement

When you take your hand off the ring, it will quickly stop moving. This prevents items on the Lazy Susan top from flying off the surface.

Many Applications

Wood

Most people associate the Lazy Susan ring with a table-top spinning platform. Simply add your own wood or other material to the top of the ring and your table just became easier to serve the next meal!

Cabinets

Perfect for storage cabinets, bookshelves, tradeshow displays, TV's and more. If it needs to spin, the Lazy Susan ring may be the solution.

Furniture

Our customers have been creative! Some have even used our Lazy Susan rings for furniture. That chair that didn't spin can now rotate 360°.

Helpful Tips

Overtighten

When attaching a top to the ring, do not overtighten the screws. Overtightening may cause the ring to warp and prevent it from turning freely.

Expansion Joint

The Nylon Muffler Strip is one molded piece that separates the ball bearings. Where the two ends of the strip meet is a natural expansion gap. This gap is intentional and provides for smooth rotation.

Aluminum housing

The aluminum housing is durable and resistant to rust. However, to ensure long life, the ball bearings are steel and will rust if they get wet. Ensure the bearings are not used in a wet environment.

My wife wanted a large lazy susan for our dining table. I am a woodworker so I told her I would make a nice oak lazy susan in a size that she wanted. I purchased this turntable ring for this project. I was impressed with how well built this product is. I was expecting something less to be honest with you. The packaging was good, delivery time was good and the product works great. I was concerned that it would spin too freely but that isn't the case. It works exactly the way I would have designed it myself. My wife loved the finished product.

Worked perfectly for my project. It would have been nice if it came with screws - I had to purchase those at a store after receiving the lazy Susan.

This worked perfectly for a homemade 10 inch diameter two stack Lazy Susan for spices. The bearing is tight with no slop like cheaper ones. When you rotate it by hand it seems to drag a little so I spayed a little WD-40 and it was smoother. I don't think I really needed to do that but it made me feel better. I was concerned that the bearing was rated for much more weight that it would not spin smoothly with just spices on it. It does spin very smoothly. Perfect. To answer on person's question about the set screw on the side. Don't touch that. You can see that this hole is where the ball bearing are inserted when assembled and then a set screw is placed to cover the hole.

My wife has been on me for some time to help her find a spice rack solution that would give her more cabinet space. Looking online, we didn't find any that was a great fit for our corner cabinet. I began to brainstorm and searched for a lazy susan ring, with the idea to add a steel ring on the outer spinning aluminum ring. This would let me mount the assembly to the bottom of the cabinet, and by adding flat disc magnets to the tops of the spices, I had a neat spice rack solution!Admittedly, I had a friend with access to a waterjet cutter who was able to cut me a steel ring to the dimensions I'd specified, but other than that, I was able to use the inner ring (already countersunk for flatheads) to mount to the cabinet surface and then drill and tap the other pilot holes (removed rubber feet) to bolt the steel plate to the outer ring, for a spinning, magnetic surface.Lessons learned, I should have given a little more thought to the steel ring dimensions in regards to mounting and thickness. As you can see from the photos, the ID of the ring prevented me from pre-assembling before mounting, but pushing the ID and OD a little would have improved this. I also should have considered adding a washers between the cabinet surface and the inner ring to ensure good clearance (its a little stiff in the rotation because of this, but isn't a big problem). If the steel ring was slightly thicker (I used 1/16" thick), I could have countersunk the bolts to ensure a flat surface over the whole area (again not a huge deal, but would have been a nice touch).

I LOVE that my kid can't throw milk all over the table by spinning this. There is probably and easy fix since it spun just fine before easy installation with 1" screws to the wood table top I'd stapled a vinyl cloth over... which is probably why this one isn't spinning so freely... TheI LOVE, LOVE,LOVE this lazy susan hardware. I doubt I'll put anything close to 200+ pounds of condiments on the table top. Installation with 1" drywall screws to the vinyl covered table top I used was easy peasy. I can attest that before installation the thing spun just dandy. It's pretty slow now... thank goodness. I'd set the vinyl covered top on another lazy susan I had. My kid put a glass of milk on that and spun it right off making a mess. I am NOT going to trim the vinyl sticking out underneath and dragging on the table until said kid is doing all the housework.g

Overall, its OK as a piece of hardware. However, the machining and assembly tolerances leave a lot to be desired. The concentricity of the two rings is fairly poor - which means that as it turns, there is one place where the two rings are barely separated. The rotations is both noisy an rough - even with high quality dry lubricant, its still does not rotate as easily or quietly as it should

The product was shipped in a timely fashion, and arrived on time. Opened up package and found mark marks engraved into the aluminum from the white buttons. Not overly impressed with the noise when turning. Will be returning product.
