I have long tied my own safety harnesses using rope. They work well, but require substantial knowledge of knots and ropes. They are also time consuming to tie, though I use dedicated rope and rarely start from scratch.Manufactured safety harnesses, using wide strap material and big chunks of metal for attachment points, probably spread impact loads more comfortably, but are heavy, of varied designs, and their methods of use are not usually self-evident.No instructions are included with this harness. One of the few prior reviews says that some of the strap clamps are made of plastic, that they break the second pressure is put on them, and that the harness is inadequate for safety. It seems that reviewer, who spoke in the plural of "strap clamps," was confused. There are two plastic attachment points on the front of the harness, but they are NOT for attaching one's safety rope. An image indicates that they are only lanyard keepers, for stowing unused connectors, to free one's hands. There is a major piece of plastic on the rear of the harness, though which both of the shoulder straps pass. Trsmima says that it rigorously tests its fall protection products to ensure they meet global industry standards. I have no reason to doubt that, though I have no great confidence in the long-term life of any piece of highly stressed plastic. Still, even if that single large piece of plastic were to utterly fail, both of the shoulder straps pass directly through a slot in the large metal D-ring attachment point on the rear of the harness, so any breakage of the plastic should not be catastrophic.Use of the harness is not well explained in the description, but there are two additional metal D-ring safety-line attachment points on the front of the harness, one on each of the two down straps. Trsmima's low resolution photos on the Amazon page do not clearly show those front attachment D-rings in use. A good video by Trsmima depicts tandem usage of them. There is also a good instructional video by Jeffery Moon on the Amazon page that shows dual front D-rings in simultaneous usage, though the video is of a different harness. The interactions and connections of the blue straps and black straps are secure (and not reliant upon plastic), but Trsmima should include much more informative images on the Amazon page, and should include good instructions on the Amazon page and also in the package.

I've been using the same safety harness for years now. It's served me well, kind of like that old pair of shoes we all hold on to. Yet it was time to get a new one as this one was getting a little long in the tooth. That's where the Trsmima harness comes in. It offers features that my other harness did not have.My old harness was sized to my body, which is nice in that it fits well in the summer. The only problem was come winter time, with all those additional layers of clothes on it fit tightly. And with only so much adjustability it was knocking on the door of being a safety issue. That's one of the things I was looking for in a new harness. That being the ability to cover a wider range of sizes. The Trsmima harness is more of a one size fits all, thus eliminating the summer/winter sizing issue.Velcro versus buckles. My old harness was adjusted by using Velcro straps. What's nice about Velcro is that there are an infinite number of adjustability points. The down side being you had to undo the harness straps to get out of it. The Trsmima uses buckles instead, which I find more advantages. Mainly because I can remove the harness simply by undoing the chest strap while leaving the leg straps connected, thus allowing the whole thing to just drop off. I haven't used the harness long enough to test the grommets on the buckles, time will tell.My old harness only had a single attachment point on the back of it, so it really only had one use. But the new harness has D-rings for attaching double carabiners like one uses when climbing towers. There are also D-rings for hanging the lanyard off from. The instruction manual was very informative. It covered all aspects relating to the harness from adjustability to inspections. Diagrams were well thought and easy to relate to.I included a short, very amateurish video of its unpacking.I hope I’ll never have to use the harness in a real life senarial, but if I have to, then I have full confidence it’s going to work.
