I purchased this Tom Crown trumpet mute for my husband for Christmas. We are both so glad I did. The mute gives a warmer, rich tone to my husband's trumpet playing and it also saves my eardrums since I'm sensitive to some of the higher notes on a trumpet if my husband is practicing in our house. The mute also arrived well in time for Christmas and was well packaged, so another plus. I'll definitely be dealing with seller again for all my husband's trumpet and other music needs.

As a lead and jazz player, I certainly have a few copper mutes in my arsenal now but this mute heavier than a standard straight, the build quality is astonishing and it is extremely well priced.Shipped to Australia early, i saved over 50 usd buying it through amazon.Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this mute

Nice to see that some things have not dropped in quality. My first Tom Crown mute was a brass bottom version I got way back in the 80's. This one gives a darker sound, seems a bit heavier and shows the same quality as they always have.

I have played on many straight mutes and this one beats them all! The reason I say "clean" is because of the lack of back-flow I am used to feeling on mutes. It's like it is not even there! I would HIGHLY recommend this to any trumpet player. The only down side is that there is a sticker on the bottom which I don't dare remove.

Love this mute! Dark sound, shimmers, will use this mute for years to come. I play in orchestras, wind ensembles, for theater shows, and other gigs--this is my go-to mute for anything requiring straight mute.
