This "mute" is unlike any other in your collection. It's merely a short cylinder of plastic that fits in the hole in your Harmon mute to dampen the volume to ppppppp levels. Amazingly, intonation remains unchanged. You can use it to warm up on stage or next to a sleeping baby's crib. Great item at a great price and it save space in your trumpet case!

This device does exactly what it's supposed to it works perfectly.I can practice my trumpet in my apartment anytime of the day or night without disturbing anyone.In addition an unexpected bonus is it adds a little resistance which helps to strengthen my armature and my lungs.I guess the best thing I can say is it works for me.

This adapter allows me to not have to carry a separate mute to use for quiet practice sessions or warming up. The Trumpet Muteness Adaptor allows me to quietly warm up in my house, in hotel rooms and at the gig using one of my two Harmon mutes without impacting the pitch or resistance. Very well designed product! Now that I have had the chance to try it, I think I'll buy a couple more to give to some of my trumpet playing friends!

This works better than many of the practice mutes I’ve tried, but only works with my Harmon and Liberty wah wah mutes…not with my Soulo wah wah mute which has a larger hole for the stem.

I like the fact that I can take this with me and use it as a way to do some light shedding or to my warmup routine in. Definitely worth getting!

I compared this adapter with my Jo-Ral practice mute. The adapter with my Harmon mute successfully reduced my volume without restricting air or "fighting back." I found that playing with the adapter I had less of a fight to play free in all ranges. It was free-blowing and did not alter or change my pitch. I am going to enjoy using this small adapter and enjoy the additional space in my mute bag having removed the Jo-Ral practice mute.

This little practice mute really works and allows me to practice without neighbors hearing a thing. It's excellent.
