No problems with installation. (Only took me a few minutes) I highly recommend watching a YouTube video on the installation, though. Easier with video directions! Product seems very high quality and so far is working very well at latching the tailgate on my 2018 Suburban.

I bought this for our 2018 Chevy Suburban as the rear tailgate wouldn't shut. Installed this and the issue was fixed. Less than 1 year later it failed. Should have bought a OEM GM one.

I came across this after watching a guy on YouTube who had this part linked. My dad and I were able to install it in a matter of 30 minutes. It’s been installed now for a couple of months. I’ve had no issues. It works like a charm.

After a couple months, the latch just stop working. The liftgate on my Yukon is now locked closed, and this latch version apparently doesn’t include a manual release. This basically means I cannot use the rear gate. Anyone have guidance?

Update after using for a year: This part has failed. The mechanisms will no longer move to open. Greattttt.This was a great replacement for original factory. I was able to install it in about 10 minutes with only a couple tools. It has worked great for the couple months I’ve had it installed. Def recommend!
