This worked perfectly for replacing the trunk latch in my 2007 BMW 3 series convertible (e93). The original rubber trunk release latch from 2007 in my car started completely melting away and making a sticky mess due to years of exposure to the dry heat (AZ). I’ve had this installed now for over 4 months and the rubber has not melted yet and it still looks, fits and works great. Very satisfied with this replacement so far, and it was far cheaper than the OEM replacement part from BMW.

My boot lid button was disintegrating, so I picked this up to replace the part.This is a perfect fit for my 2012 BMW 128i (E82). I just popped out the old one using a plastic spudger, cleaned up the disintegrating rubber schmutz on the boot lid, reattached the wire, and popped the new button back in. Done.Works like new.

This part fit exactly as advertised. Some videos will tell you to remove the inner trunk covering but this is not needed. Gently pry old piece/rubber and rock gently. Pops right out, connect plug and pop back into place. Very easy and far less expensive than replacing from BMW. I noticed that when I first put it in place it did not seem to work and I felt I did something wrong, fear not, car needs to be turned on so that it recognizes the new switch. Literally a 5 min job for less than $20. Had i taken it to the dealership or other mechanic I am sure it wuld of been $150+

ordered the trunk switch for my 2007 BMW 335I convertible, the original rubber turned to goooordered and received in 1 day. Took 1 minute to replace the old one and it fit perfect !!!! and works.BMW wanted 48.00 plus shipping, 1/3 the cost, its made in China but BMW parts made in Germany so whats the difference RECOMMEND this part

I used this on a 2014 X1. Having tried to repair the failed switch earlier with contact cleaner, replacing the failed unit with this one took about five minutes.FYI you must use a pointed object to release the switch/cable plug.

The old one has a deteriorating rubber portion. Took it off in 2 minutes using a couple of plastic trim tools. No need to remove lining from inside the trunk, on my E90.Unplugged the old, took this new piece, reattach the plug and pressed into the cavity. All good to go.
