Great product, easy-to-use, but pretty expensive. Just to do our basement would cost over 12 grand in materials only.

As stated in the title, this was a sample piece purchased so that I could actually touch and evaluate density, thickness, and rigidity of the product. I am impressed enough from looking at the sample that I am going to do further research into pricing etc on the actual product

This would be perfect for some jobs, However, it is not the answer for my (very small) particular project.Should I ever want to tackle a large garage remodel I have the samples though.

I really liked the samples sent to me. However, I cannot find any reviews online of homeowners or contractors who have actually installed and worked with the TrussCore product. There's a ton of TrussCore produced videos online but I want to know from homeowners. I called TrussCore 5 fives and tried selecting different department options off their voicemail, but you never get a live person. Beginning to feel this is too much work...therefore 3 stars.7/10/2023 Update - I bought some Trusscore panels to try on the ceiling of my garage despite my apprehension on no installation reviews and videos too good to be true. We has installed all but the last panel and installation is very difficult. The weight of the panels requires at least two strong people to hold each end and provide flex to insert the sides into the trim....we had a miserable time getting each side into the trim. We used two wide flat putty knifes but the trim does not flex easily and the sides slip if you don't hold in place while trying to get the rest of the side above the trim. We are now trying to figure out how to install the last panel which is narrower than a full panel. Besides trimming the length...we not only need to get each side above the trim, but also the long length of the cut panel has to get above the trim. I did an online chat with Trusscore and after providing the standard installation instructions...suggested using adhesive.Another note of caution - our garage is older and if EVERYTHING is not perfectly 16" on center, squared and symmetrical then your installation in regards to drilling screws through the panel's slots and aligning to the studs isn't going to happen. If there is any kind of bow to the ceiling the panel's seams will not come together completely and you may have to caulk them. I do a lot of construction and carpentry...maybe someone else will have a better experience. If so, I'd like to know about it.

Buyer beware.Nice sample but they don’t sell the product you have to go to home or and they had no idea how to order it. So i’m getting something similar from a competitor and a much cheaper price. I have to cost what they sell trust court at Home Depot for. I really like the product only can get it at Home Depot from what I found. But you do see every inch and a half where the plastic is welded together. Remember you can’t return this product.

The samples we great, they came quickly and had the different options of lengthens and information on them, we had also ordered the sample ring so we knew what accessory pieces we would need. After spending the time to measure and plan it all out we were ready to order …… this is where the issue lay. You can’t purchase from the actual Trusscore website, they direct you to “dealers” in your area, all of which in our area (we searched in a 50 mile radius) seemed to be building companies, we tried calling two of the number listed on the site anyway and both were disconnected, then we googled the product and it showed that Home Depot sells it, so we went to Home Depot to ask about it (they only sell the 8 foot sections online but our wall is 10ft so we need the 12 section) and the workers there told us they don’t sell it nor could they order it….. so if its this hard to initially purchase it any issues or additional purchases …….. so like I said seems like it might be a great product but you just can buy anything but a sample it seems.

These are only samples of the product. But it seems like a good material but not sure if a person can buy the product in Atlantic Provinces.

I'm glad I ordered this sample before committing to a larger purchase. This is not a viable alternative to drywall unless maybe in damp prone areas like a basement and even then, not sure I'd use it.First the positives: As this is some sort of plastic, it would hold up better in high humidity, damp areas like basements or maybe outdoor buildings like sheds or maybe a garage. It's double-walled, waffle like interior, trapping air so I think it would have some value as a poor heat insulator also. The negatives: My sample showed up badly marred with scratches, dents and pits. It would not take much to deface it in this way, in regular use, so what would you do if it does - and it it surely will - become damaged like this ? It looks like hell on it's glossy finish. Paint will not stick to this glossy plastic like it will to porous materials like drywall. You are pretty much stuck with the colour it comes in. I note how they made the videos of this product install to not show any seams, but there obviously are when using this tongue and groove jointing. It's not all that strong to prevent flexing. This might be an ok product for some zero contact spot like a garage ceiling. Maybe a dog house interior. What it basically is, is vinyl siding, but not as attractive or available in as many colors.
