Used this on my 1989 Jeep Cherokee 4.0. Not for the ignition, but for the fuel pump circuit resistor. It was much cheaper than the one listed for the pump circuit. Looks and fits like original. It offers about 0.2 more ohms resistance than recommended part, therefore lowering pump noise a bit while maintaining adequate fuel pressure. Yes, I checked it, 40psi. Been about a month, working fine.

If you are thinking about using this on a car I would buy the more expensive version with the metal mounting strap. This is made well, is the correct resistance and works just fine. However, you need to be careful not to over tighten the mounting bolt or you will crack the ceramic.

It works for my use which is not a stock use. I put it in line with my electric carb choke to slow down it's opening. Works great!

This ballast resistor was delivered very quickly and was exactly as described. The restance was as specified. The price is one of the lowest I could find and the construction is sound. Not much else I can say about this fine item.

Updated my Mallory Unilite electronic ignition. Replaced the 50-year old ford ballast resistor wire with this resistor. Works excellent.

Though It did Not burn out If this Is used with high amperage Ignition coils It gets very hot.
