They mount above trailer leaf spring assemblies and create a cushion between the axle and trailer frame. Trailer SumoSprings reduce wear and tear on body-frames, windows, doors, closets, mounted TV's, and other components by minimizing bounce, hop, and sway associated with most tow-able RV's. Reduced sway and bounce in the trailer results in increased driver control, ride comfort, reduced maintenance costs, and reduced overall cost of trailer ownership.

My camper really didn't ride bad to begin with, but our land is miles down a dirt road with washes and ditches etc. On a normal tow, stuff inside would shift around, magnets would fall off the fridge, and one drawer would always come open. I wanted to help out the tiny springs that you often hear about breaking on people and with packing in extra water and weight, I figured these would help. The installation was extremely easy on my camper, I do have an over under kit (axle flip) installed. On the first trip out my teen daughter said it felt different and asked why. I honestly thought it felt the same but maybe not as bouncy. On arrival at our off grid land it was a surprise to find that nothing inside moved around, all the magnets were still on the fridge and the drawer didn't open. Impressive that it made that big of a difference on a dirt road, the stuff normally shifted around on blacktop. They are a little pricey but it was worth it.

My 5th wheel trailer suspension has no shock absorbers and this allowed for road bumps to bounce the trailer, often causing harsh chucking forces (forward and backward) to my truck. This was very uncomfortable for the occupants in the truck. I had read comments from other RV’ers who had installed these with favorable results so I decided that I had to try these to hopefully get some relief. Installation was pretty easy. The instructions were easy to follow. It took me about 1 hour. The results were amazing. The harsh chucking was reduced to very tolerable pushes.

These Sumo Springs installed in less than an hour, 20 minutes for the first one and then 10 minutes each on the other three! The first drive on Cai's notoriously poor highways was such a dramatic difference! I usually have my fishing hats o a rack on the rear inside of my trailer, and because of the poor roads out west they typically end up on the floor upon arriving at our destination. After the first drive they were still hanging on the hooks! Smooth ride, less tugging back and forth and so much smoother on the drive overall. I installed these on a 2020 Cougar Half-Ton 26RBSWE Travel Trailer.

Easy to install. Significant reduction in vibration while traveling down the road. Less bouncing / sway at highway speeds. Highly recommend!

Installed on our 27BHS travel trailer and it made a noticeable difference. Now when going over train tracks and undulations in the road the bucking sensation is much reduced. Bear is mind I'm pulling the camper with a 2019 F350 dually with a WDH. Wish we had installed these on day 1. Well worth money. I had them installed on the camper in less than an hour.

I tried these on a 6000lb loaded tandem travel trailer. very easy install. with the sumosprings, the TT rode like a vehicle riding on its bump stops — which in essence it is with the sumosprings. this harsh ride transmitted bumps to the tow vehicle much more than without. i suspect the trailer was more stable than without the sumosprings but definitely more uncomfortable to tow. perhaps these are better on a heavier vehicle? or, if sumo springs made a softer spring (i had the blue ones)? I didnt realize the dampening effect i was looking for. suspension travel was definitely decreased much like driving a go cart vs a caddy. i suppose it boils down to what youre looking for. but, for me the harsh ride (which is even more pronounced when cold) was not worth the increased stabilization — i was looking for a better compromise between ride and stability.

Unfortunately by the time I got them installed. It was too late to return them. They are to short for my 2016 coachman bhds292. I put new springs on and they are a good half inch away with both washers installed. I will have to make some later.**** update after talking to the manufacturer this is what I was told by them. "We have been advised by our engineer to let anyone know who has a bigger gap than 6.55" to return the kits. Adding more spacers creates a slenderness ratio that creates leverages that can cause it to buckle and fail." Now I don't know what to do with them. $800 is a lot to sit on the self?

Good quality product .I couldn't unfortunately installed them because the space is greater then the suspension including the two spacers.I have contacted the supplier and still waiting to get a extra 8 spacers to finish the installation.Hopefully it's available or no choice to return back the Sumo suspension.
