Fits well, lightweight, is reasonably comfortable and seems well-made Can be hot but in a coyboy hat your head can get hot also. Fortunately I have not experienced a fall while riding in the helmet so I have no idea of effectiveness.

I got this because they had the best detail for measurements. Didn’t disappoint; perfect fit. The protective carrying case was the cherry on the icing on the cake. My other helmet didn’t have one and, well, I expect the new helmet will be in better condition for a while longer.

Be aware that the sizes of the TuffRider do not correspond to those of other helmets. Check before you buy.Troxel small is 52-55; Tuffrider small is 50-53. I take a Troxel small and a Tuffrider medium

I recommend this helmet. It’s lightweight, very comfortable and looks great.

I like this Helmet because it has an adjustable strap so, it can grow with the child. It is a sturdy helmet. We have not used yet because it is a xmas gift!
