Love these! I bought them for my 6-year old daughter after looking, and failing to find, a cute shorts bottom at any of the local stores. I like two piece options for her, with a tankini-type top and fuller coverage bottom (like a little skirt or shorts). These shorts are super cute, comfortable, and fit as indicated. There is a drawstring waist to tighten if necessary. At six, my daughter likes to roll and jump, and go a little crazy at the beach, and in addition to making it easier to ensure sunscreen coverage, these are more suited to an active beach day than the little bikini bottoms we typically find.

The shorts are great however i went by the size they had for 13yr to 14yr old.. It was too small, my daughter is 10 and weighs 105 and has more athletic body. This is perfect for small boned girls. Shorts are so cute tho

This is a great product. The quality of fabric is good, the drawstring is functional, the length of the shorts is great. You will NEED to size up. My daughter is 4 years old, 45lbs, regularly wears a size 6, and I bought her the 8-10yr size and it fits perfect. So when in doubt, size up!

I got these for my almost 7 year old daughter, and she loves them. They do seem to run a bit small as I had to get her the size 8-10. Based on the measurements from Tuga, she would be a 6-7, but she has a stocky/athletic build, so I sized up. I'm glad I did! These are fully lined, front and back, and are not see through at all. I love to see her running and playing in her swimsuit without anything riding up and no exposed cheeks. She is about 46" tall, weighs 52 lbs and wears sizes 6-8 depending on the brand and style.

Just a word of caution. My child has not used this yet - this is only a commentary on the sizing. Here is the manufacturer's size chart - straight from the Tuga website:2 - 3 Years 34 - 39 " 32 - 40 lbs4 - 5 Years 39 - 44 " 40 - 48 lbs6 - 7 Years 44 - 49 " 48 - 60 lbsMy daughter is 42.5" tall, 45 lbs. By the chart, she's almost dead center in the 4-5 size range. To be sure the suit wasn't too tight, and in hopes of it lasting two summers due to the higher cost, I ordered the 6-7 size which should have been VERY roomy on her. i only did it because I saw the shorts had a drawstring to adjust the fit. We tried them on her as soon as they came in. One look and I knew it would be a one-sumner deal. If she gains any weight, maybe not even that! The shorts are a bit long - almost bike short length, which is understandable since I ordered a size up. But the waist! Almost too snug even after loosening the drawstring! Very surprising and disappointing. They are very pretty, though, good quality and super soft. Hope they wear and wash well in order to improve my satisfaction rating.

Update: These lasted about a year being used about weekly in chlorine. I'm pleased!These are even better than I expected. They are front lined, as others have mentioned, which is sort of unnecessary. The bottom line is that kids can wear them alone. My daughter is tall and thin and these fit her perfectly - they were a touch loose, longer than I expected, and easy to cinch around the waist. I was glad that they weren't skin tight and that they were long. They're actually pretty modest. She's really pleased with them and finds them comfortable - which she's pretty picky about. I would definitely order these again.

I bought two of these, shorts and tops, for my granddaughter and niece. The girls think they're cute and comfortable., they fit well. They played in the water for several hours on a sunny day and even my fair skinned granddaughter did not burn, except on her face which was covered with sunscreen but not any part of the toga clothing!!

Although pricey, this was the only one that fit my tall thin 7 year old (Size 10). The draw strings are an added extra. Color did not bleed and was of good quality. Only the front had a lining and that was good enough. I bought the Tuga shirt separately.
