Worked exactly as I hoped for. My shirt I dyed with this yellow and an orange dye also from Tulip turned out in nice bold colors. I've washed and worn my shirt a dozen times already and the color has stayed bright and vivid. *I did use soda ash as a pre-soak which helps the color set in the fabric*.This was actually a lot easier to use than I thought. The first time I used it I didn't read the instructions and I tried cutting the packet open and dumping the powder in my bottle. You can actually put the whole packet in the bottle and then add water. The packet dissolves - but do be careful that it is COMPLETELY dissolved before you try to use it or it can get on the fabric you are trying to dye and leave a gross plasticky feeling piece on your fabric if you run it though the dryer. The dye is also super easy to use. It can be done with cold water, so there is no fuss boiling dye and soaking your fabrics. After dying, just make sure you wrap your project in plastic wrap or a bag and let it sit wet with the dye for several hours so the dye can cure.

I love this Tulip dye! So easy to use!! No more soda ask soak. I wanted to fully dye a shirt of mine so I used several packages in a bucket with water and pressed my shirt into the dye until it was saturated. Usually with Tulip after one tie dyes, the item goes into a bag overnight. I left mine in the bucket. Washed it the next day and voila I had a gorgeous denim blue colored shirt which had previously been flesh colored. Couldn’t be happier. So easy to use and this dye does not keep bleeding when washed. Certainly I wash it with darks only, but the bleeding is limited.

We like this product and used numerous colors to tie dye 18" x 18" cotton kitchen sack cloth hand towels for a Woodstock party in mid-August. While not as intense as professionally dyed products our end results were never the less satisfactory for our purpose. We first washed the sack cloths to remove any sizing and then to ensure the most vibrant colors we used around 2/3 of a color pouch per color per sack cloth. Moreover we used about 10% less water than the instructions called for. Tie Dyed sack cloth was placed in a ziplock baggie for over 24 hours before rinsing. Most designs called for one color stage (all colors applied at the same time per design instructions) although some required a two step application process (one color applied at a time with 24 hours allowed for setting before the second color was applied). Those were the most vivid. Overall, this product does a good job for the "do it yourself" tie dye enthusiast. One word of caution: definitely USE GLOVES!

I've bought this type of dye multiple times of the years in multiple colors. Easy to use, you get a lot of product for the price you pay. Color lasts a long time with multiple washes. I've used the dye on clothing and pillow cases.

For ages, I had been looking around for a turquoise sheet set in a quality fabric. All sets I found in the color I wanted were either made from cheap, poor fabric, or were so fantastically high-priced they were way out of my budget. Finally, it dawned on me to just dye the high-quality white cotton bedding I already had.So, I bought several packs of this Tulip One-step in the turquoise color and did a mix of Shibori-style dye patterns on various pieces of the bedding set. I LOVE the way it turned out. So now I have a sheet set it would have cost me a fortune to buy already made. I did have to make the dye stronger than the directions suggest (I used three dye packets for each 8oz of water instead of two) in order to get a deeper, more saturated turquoise color. I ended up using about $25 worth of the dye for the complete sheet set including 4 extra pillow cases.I had a few packets of dye left over and so used them to over-dye a black and white rayon gauze blouse. That also turned out lovely. My next project will be a duvet cover to match my sheets.I love this dye!

Use as directed and colors stay nice and vibrant!! If you decide to wash them in warm or hot water...yeah colors will fade and be less and less vibrant. It's commen sense to dry them on low heat too. This color was a miss...it was more of a baby bluish greenish concoction for turquoise. But it's still a nice color

It's commen sense to dry them on low heat too. This color you have to really do two coats drying between each to let that green set in of you want it to be deeper. This one does fade quite quickly to a pale-neon,minty green. It's actually really nice when mixed with some of the turquoise one
