These are pricey but you get what you pay for…Superior to Core and other makers of this type of jig head ..Great hook and just a well made product ..You won’t go wrong with these ..The little extra holder at the end is very nice also ..

As someone who has used the original hover stroll rigs by Core Tackle, I was excited to try these tungsten versions by Tungsten4Anglers.I’ve had good success with hover strolling rigs, especially for smallmouth bass in my local lakes. The gliding action it gives with a swim trailer acts so much like a bait fish it’s easy to see why bass like them. My main complaint of the original hover stroll rigs are though is that I’ve constantly had to slide the trailer back into place as it’s only depending on the hook shape and ribbed design of the lead weight to stay in place. This one solves this issue by including bait keepers that holds the plastic much better, greatly increasing the time between repositioning the lures.Size wise, I thought these would be smaller than the original given that tungsten is more dense, however it’s about the same size as the original (at same weight), due to some rubberized material in the middle of the weight. This though makes sense as part of what makes the hover stroll rig work, is where the weight is distributed. This rubber ensures that the denser weight of the tungsten doesn’t affect the action of the lure. This really shows good quality design and testing by the manufacturer.The hook are nice and sharp and I haven’t had to resharpen the hooks yet despite catching several fish already with the same hook. Though not my favorite brand of hooks, these are still good quality and will last for years!Compared to the original, pricing of these are more expensive per pack. However you need to consider you get 5pcs instead of just two like in the original so each rig is only marginally more expensive than the original and you get the added bonus of it being made of tungsten!If I could ask for an improvement I would ask them to add a weed guard or as the eye of the hook does catch a few weeds during my retrieve.Overall very happy with these hooks and would easily recommend these for people who want to try or are finding success with hover strolling.
