I had a plastic baster for years and never knew what I was missing until I bought this metal baster that has a cleaning attachment and two different sized injectors. I used the larger injector on a turkey for Thanksgiving to supplement the basting. When you attach the injector to the end of the baster, draw the fluid into the baster and plunge it into the meat, withdraw it slowly and once it gets to the space between the meat and the skin, the skin lifts up to accommodate the juice and it spreads along that cavity throughout the turkey. Our bird was very moist and tasty. Easy cleanup with some hot soapy water and the cleaning attachment. I look forward to using this baster again and again!Not picture is a nice red basting brush too.

The master works fine, but it does not work well as an injector. At all. The pressure of pushing fluid through the baster and into something makes it leak where the pump meets the metal.

A VERY NICE SET AND I LOVE THE CLEANING BRUSHES. NOT CRAZY ABOUT THE RED COLOR BUT THAT'S NOT A PROBLEM. AS LONG AS IT WORKS, THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS.

Do yourself a favor and by this before you cook your next turkeyYou’ll never deal with another flimsy plastic baster again. Plus it’s stainless and can clean up easily in the dishwasher.
